Re: 2019 main harness connector pin diagram
I have managed to account for every wire but one which is this grey wire. I have used colored zip ties to help identify which wore bundles goes to where and then uses tape labels. I have also made a simple drawing of the connectors on the motor and what wire goes where I will post it after I redraw ...

2019 main harness connector pin diagram & connected to the zombieverter
Hi all, I am working on a 2019 leaf and I wanted to reuse the harness that came with the leaf and connect the zombieverter directly to this harness to run the motor. Dose anyone have a pin and harness wore diagram for the third gen inverter and 3rd gen wore harness and connect? I have attached image...

Re: Possible gen2 inverter hardware problem
If the brain board in the inverter is replaced with one of the open inverter boards could it be paired with the Zombieverter at that point? Yes, in that case any inverter with a oi board that drives the power stage. You will need to set up the can id’s between the zombi and oi board tho. Should be ...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
CANBUS off with DMM should be 60Ohm. 2x 120Ohm in parallel. Can the zombieverter program the offset if I get another stock leaf inverter? Not presently but could be added in software. How difficult would it be to enable that in the software? Another individual was saying that the open inverter can ...

Re: Possible gen2 inverter hardware problem
…. would also be fairly easy to configure it with the offset and also still be able to use the zombieverter? Motors and paired inverters only work with the zombieverter, so you’ll need to get another leaf Gen2+ inverter. Any of the 80,110, or 160 kw versions will work If the brain board in the inve...

Re: Possible gen2 inverter hardware problem
solved my issues and found it to be damaged inverter and could never get any communication with it nor power it up. I also could not get any continuity when I probed the pins on the back of the motor. Now looking for a replacement inverter. anyone have a suggestion that would make it a fun motor set...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
CANBUS off with DMM should be 60Ohm. 2x 120Ohm in parallel. Thank you. Inspected my inverter and found that to be damaged so going to look for a new leaf inverter to pair with this or maybe another option like a volt inverter and see if I can get the zombieverter to work with it. Can the zombievert...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
...52 kohms seems really high... Should be fine for a chip that is turned off and hasn't got the 120 Ohm resistor across CANH CANL. I just measured it on a little CAN dongle (not plugged in) and get ~50k Ohm. Thank you for confirming that and that is basically the same. The only 120 ohm resistor I ...

Possible gen2 inverter hardware problem
I saw a video where a gen 2 was being jumped started and in the video there was a dark green wire and a light green wire going to a relay and then ground and CAN hi and low going to the vcu. After looking at the wire diagram that single dark green wire looks like it goes into pin 48 and 46 which is ...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Quick update: I was able to do some more testing focusing on trying to diagnose why I am having some CAN communication problems. I verified all the wiring is correct along with the polarity of the shunt and inverter connection. I started data gathering process: With a DMM: With the system off and co...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
You obviously have no can comms between inverter and vcu. Thank you, I was thinking I was having a CAN communication problem. This gave me a direction to go. I started to think about what all can give me issues with CAN communication so i decided to start with the basics. 1) I verified all CAN ext ...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Hello all, I am running into a bit of trouble with the VCU and 2nd gen leaf motor and inverter. I have a new ISA shunt and went through the steps to initialize it. When I go through the start up process T15 is on, it passes pre-charge stage and i can measure pack voltage across the inverters positiv...
