Re: Behaviour in neutral
Tried selecting neutral whilst rolling with no throttle applied and did not regen, just coasted. Same with small amount of throttle. Hope that helps.

Re: Behaviour in neutral
Hi Charlie. I will do a test this evening by selecting neutral when rolling with no throttle and again with a little throttle to see what happens. For reference I have regen set up so it is only working when brake is pressed, so backing off throttle gives no regen, that way I can coast when off thro...

Try changing slipstart to 100. That means no slip until 100% throttle.

Re: motor on my table overcurrent error
Be careful of over revving motor as it has no mechanical load. What is the motor rating ?
Reduce throtramp to 0.5 or lower if you wish and try again, motor should ramp up slowly.
AC fuses probably cant take the current, so ramping slowly may help for testing.
Above fweak the current will rise.

Re: Drive units with failed inverters
Continuing your message Charlie... I have spent a lot of time trying to locate inverters for the SDU to no avail. The only way is to buy another complete SDU, £1750 seems the norm. We really need to have a look at repairing them or developing a similar stand alone inverter. From what I have read and...

Well done and a big thank you for your efforts. I am sure your perseverance with the strip down will help others who may need to try to repair the power stage etc. Looking forward to seeing whats under the pcb.

Re: Smart Roadster
Hi Pete9008. Shame your budget isnt higher. You are correct, limited wheelies with 0-60 in 4 secs
However 70Kw will be very quick so I imagine you will be a happy chap when its up and running.
Where are you based?
Good luck with the build.

Re: Registering and changing tax class of an EV conversion in the UK
Would be interesting to see if DVLA allowed a reduction or zero rated the VED if someone fitted a modern low CO2 emission engine to a gas guzzler ? That might prove a case possibly ?
Could it be DVLA are basing their decisions on the first registration of the vehicle after manufacture ?

Re: Parameter explanation
Thanks Johannes. No need to worry about 0v wire break when full throttle would become 5v then as it’s already covered by software.
