Release software now updated to use digital input IN2 on the controller as a trigger to activate the DCDC converter during driving. Pull to 12v to activate, release to deactivate. Tested in E39.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Annnnd yep we got a problem here. Looks like torque scaling is changed as well as direction handling in the toyota module. Doesnt show up on the bench as I only ever run the motors slowly! Investigating now.

I wouldn't right off the gen2 transaxle until someone tests with both motors.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Sent you an email. Once the board arrives I'll do a diagnosis. A very strange failure mechanism. In other news the E39 is nearing readiness to drive so will now be able to investigate any throttle response problems with the 450h system first hand.

Made a little more progress on the E39. PCS wired in and cooling system refilled and bled. Getting near a first drive.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
That all looks perfect thanks. There seems to be no obvious reason other than a wiring error to cause this problem. I think next step is to get the board back to me for a deeper look.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Damien, great to see the Zombieverter is lurching ahead! We have our GS450H vehicle which has been running around for a few months, on fairly old code, with no real problems. But I want to update it now, the main things we are missing are: * Working regen * Smooth current limiting * Settable thrott...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Just to let folks know that V1a boards are now shipping with the Wemos wifi module. See the pictures here for fitting information. Can someone please add to the wiki? The Olimex header is still there for those who may prefer that option.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
You'll need to go back over those wires and double check and do a voltage test as I said earlier to ensure nothing is wrong in the inverter that caused the board to fail.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Also do a dc volts check between ground and your inverter signals in case the inverter is bad and killed the vcu. I recently helped a customer with a 6 month problem that we ultimately chased down to a water damaged inverter. He'll update the thread with details himself.

Hi guys, new to the forum. Have recently purchased the zombieverter vcu from Damien and had it assembled as per video but still have to fit IC 10 as not supplied in the kit. After connecting the resolver cables and doing a basic power check using 12v volt battery the micro controller IC 8 started g...
