Not sure what you upto.
But combineing 2 bytes into a 16BIT.
Int8 byte1 = 0;
Int8 byte2 = 0;
Int16 vint_16 = ( byte1 <<16 ) + byte2;

Depending on the hole size I suggest a punch. By far the most easiest in stainless.

Re: Newb Asks: Is There A Clever Way To Connect A Charger To The Safety Box
Why not use a second box for the charger? Maybe it's the inverter which should have an extra relais connecting HV when low voltage is applied. Then the box stays the box and the inverter bleed is countered.

Re: Ranger rover 14.7kwh pack bms
Hi, It appears uncertain whether the bus connecting to the modules is a CAN bus, as there are transformers isolating the lines from the controller, visible at the bottom left of the square PCB photo. Furthermore, I couldn't identify a CAN transceiver chip on the individual BMS boards. free fire nam...

Re: MEB motor and inverter (ID.3, ID.4, Eniaq, etc.)
It might be possible to swap the inverter logic board from the old one? That would get you the matching EEPROM and IMMO coding that the car is expecting. I dont know if theres any sort of resolver offset or other calibration that would need redone to match the new motor though. Yeah; what he said w...

What was the reason of the swap?
Do you still have the old inverter/motor?

3D printing the complete part or maybe a part which will better be mountable (from inside?) Might be what you need.

Check if the variable in code has an assignment for a value even when the canbus isn't connected at all. So simple test: disconnect CAN and reboot inverter SW and check web GUI

Becarefull with conclusions it might fail after time too.
"fooling" a system with unknown data is tricky in addition of the fact that you don't know the implementation of the sw / hw.
Saying that it's good to read knowledgeable people are joining efforts.

Yes; fast is relative to time. So its overload 160% won't be for very long (and or very often aka track use) and the very fast blowing (emidiate style) will be lower.

Re: What is Protistor and what it does?
Often the Voltage DC rating is less. The Arc needs tobe extinguished.
My observation is distance (bigger length fuse).
If it's used and you have exact type nr then it should have a rating. But then my question is what's the different in use ase (why have doubts then)?

Re: What is Protistor and what it does?
The biggest issue might be absence of a DC rating. DC fuses aren't same as AC fuses. AC crosses 0 and that extinguishes the arc. DC needs other means for that.
