Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Thank you Damien, was looking forward to this update :) Gave it a quick run this morning. Testing with four 12V batteries for HV (approx. 49V). Initially have vehicle type set to 'none' and inv_can set to 'CAN1', the default. Is there supposed to be three CAN channels to select from the drop down? ...

Re: Hyundai/Kia Batteries
Here's a very recent video from Korea of the new higher capacity CATL 68.4kWh battery in the new Kia Niro sent on to me earlier. The design and engineering in the Kia/Hyundai camp is becoming so much simpler and refined as they evolve. Wonder how long before we find one of these in Calvin (ev-break...

Wow, that looks very tidy! Is it doing zero import/export yet? Thanks Johannes ,It's just grid tied with house currently with a dedicated output to a series of sockets inside the house but should have it feeding full house soon as need to get a registered electrican to do the work near fuse box in ...

Re: Nissan Leaf EM61 motor on gen2 inverter?
With replacement logic board, yes, I can't see why not. With CANbus control of inverter, no. The resolver offset needs to be set in the inverter. I don't think the information on how this is done is known. Dala has figured out the can messages required to set new offset in inverter, think it's on t...

Re: Hyundai IoniQ 2020 HV battery pack
I used car scanner to check details on a 2018 28kwh , I would imagine you might be able to try and splice into the can lines and 12v to see if it works with a obd socket spliced on , I found a can log online for a 28kwh if that's of any use to you.

Just an update , I tested new .bin above, good news is dashboard can is now working for e65 , and webpage is working better. Bad news is inverter doesn't go into inv mode on and doesn't start high pitched whine. Im investigating if its something to do with inverter relay ,but I was working with old...

Re: The ZombieVerter VCU Project
I have done what seems like an enormous commit to the firmware. The goal was to not change functionality at all :) So I'd appreciate people going out and testing that I haven't broken anything. So what have I done? I split the CAN hardware driver from the processing logic, i.e. the part that implem...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
I have a strange question - is it possible to use this board to control the charging of a chademo nissan leaf pdm without connecting an inverter and a motor? Using the leaf pdm for chademo hasn't been done as far as I know , mostly due to most people wanting independent chademo as it only requires ...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Leaf inverter firmware limits the power , 80kw for gen 1 and 2 24&30kwh batery ,for 2018 onwards inverter its 110kw from 40kwh and then 160kw for inverters for a 62kwh e plus or e power model.

Re: Chademo Controller Development
0x201 and 0x202 are V2G. You can ignore them. And if I want V2G, do you know more about how that process works and the role of these messages? I think Pin 5 plays a role as well but I'm not sure if that is an option or requirement. Im also interested in these messages, for v2g does chademo need liv...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
I think the issue is that one of the shared gs450h pinout is actually the opposite way around as it the connector not socket on invetetr. Regardless though shouldn't work with the vcu either then.
I tidy up labelling and get a pic so others don't have issues.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Have you tried the .hex I uploaded today? There was an issue with throttle input scaling on older hex files floating about . It would scale it as per the way the leaf scales torque request thinks it up to 100 and the lexus is up to to 3500. . It's fixed in the code I shared so try that .hex first as...

This is an older .hex that works but dashboard can output doesnt. It does start up correctly and can spin gs motor backward and forwards and reads e65 direction input by can so should help people stuck at the motor not spinning stage.

EDIT this doesnt work , no flash from activity light after using this so watch dog looks to be triggered.
