Re: Toyota Prius Gen 2 Inverter Controller
Is the DC/DC converter contained in that unit hacked already? The DC/DC and aircon inverter are in a self contained casing the forms the closure plate to the water cooling passages. Both run from the HV battery at ~200v It looks like the DC/DC is controlled with just two signals; VLO and NODD (bidi...

Re: Toyota Prius Gen 2 Inverter Controller
I wrote up the signal designations for the intelligent power modules. Can someone check it through; https://drive.google.com/open?id=1H-xk6tR-VEnUh9QBsKj6PUu7t8ScojWz On the phase current outputs, there are A and B signals, for example MIVA & MIVB - Motor inverter V phase current. Is this a diff...

I talked to them at CENEX LCV and the prices were reasonable, sub £200 as I recall.

Re: Charging-Cable Lock and Driveaway prevention
One fairly foolproof charge interlock was used on the Skoda Elmo. The build in charge cable used a standard domestic plug. That plug had to be inserted into a socket in the stowage compartment for the vehicle to run. Continuity was via the earth connection, so that was in effect tested each time.

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
A little more information;
Resolver connections
Green - White 33.8 ohm
Black - Red 81.1 ohm
Blue - Yellow 73.7 ohm
That suggests that Green - White as the primary, but with a bit more variation in the secondary resistances than I might have expected.

There appear to be two temperature sensors, judging by the four wires. Resolver has the expected six wires for exciter coil and sine/cosine. https://photos.app.goo.gl/GNHXmB8EFkVBRJiw9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/jAeRA1w9jupnRSpP6 https://photos.app.goo.gl/wqSLywjYaJwqkkEn7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/d...

I'll get some more pictures tomorrow. I took that one to get the part number, hoping to just look it up. The part code format is similar to SmartSyn resolvers.

Picture of resolver. Part number search doesn't bring up any exact matches.

Wanted - Nissan Leaf Brake servo connector
I have a brake servo unit to experiment with, but no connector or loom. The breakers all seem to throw the loom into the copper recycling bin.

Re: Toyota Prius Gen 2 Inverter Controller
I couldn't find the pinout for the Intelligent Power Modules anywhere on this forum, but I did eventually track it down in the Toyota manuals that are available on-line. I grabbed some of the images and stitched them together crudely.

Re: Welcome to the forum
I've been away from EVs for a few years, but recently returned to the fold. From 1996-99, I used to go out to the USA for 5 or so weeks every year and help prepare a Porsche 914 EV race car. I did a lot of the development work and the performance was enough to convince the last driver, Richard Hatfi...

SOLD Prestolite MTC-4001 & VW Beetle adapter plate
The Prestolite MTC-4001 was a popular conversion motor back in the day. Quite a few examples of its use on http://evalbum.com/ One was used in Kawashoki, one of the first electric drag bikes. It currently comes with an adapter plate for VW type 1 - Beetle, Aluminium flywheel and a new clutch. I've g...

Prestolite MTC4001 any good to you?
A very popular motor back in the day. You'll fine quite a lot of examples of its use on http://evalbum.com/
I've got one and a Kelly controller to go with it.
