Leaf EM61 P-lock on/off, a simple way.

This is a fast and easy way to get EM61 motor out from PARK. (Maybe works just the same with em57) DSC_7559~2.JPG DSC_7560~2.JPG When removing the nissan assembly, it is possible to just change The P lock with a 11mm spanner. Here is pictures of the 2 positions it goes to: D = DRIVE DSC_7561~2.JPG _...

Re: We built a manual P-Brake actuator for the Leaf gearbox

Hello. After seeing how easy it is to made work, I decided to tackle my P-brake problem too. Here is what I found. Yep, that's why I still have mine. Don't want to get rid of it now, just to see that I want to buy another one later 8-)

Re: VW eGolf hardware

You either have to unwrap the whole thing or go through it with a continuity tester and mark all of them. I went with continuity tester first marked them all and then unwrapped them. Have you read our thread about the e-golf battery? https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=26099#p26099

Re: VW eGolf hardware

The most interesting would be the wiring for the modules that do not have the full 12S total. This is from E-golf 35,8kWh orange harness: 5QE971226G Red connector allways has the same number of wires, as the module set has cells counting after the first 4S BMS module. So BMS+8S equals for 8 cable o...

Re: VW eGolf hardware

[ So there are two "dumb" modules, so no idea if the "BMS" modules care. Easiest way to find is is just to take the covers off and compare them, also look at the two interconnecting looms. Then last thing is you can just plug in a "BMS" module and then try the different...

Re: VW eGolf hardware

I'm a bit confused by this. Let's say I have one complete E-Golf pack with all modules present. I can't run it as 88S as Victron is 48V. Can I get a reasonable 48V pack out of it with (one) SimpBMS that would work with Victron? I can do 16S5P or 14S6P or 12S7P. The e-golf module with BMS/CAN connec...

Re: VW eGolf hardware

16S 48V ? You mean you would take 16S and make it into 48V module? 12S is closer to 48V I think you would need more can bus, Or have to connect the multiple packs in parallel and the individual cells between packs too. Like Pack 1 cell 123456... Into other ... | | | | | | Pack 2 cell 123456....

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking

Vwbrady, I feel ya, I bought a M3 RDU when it happened to be cheap few years back (about when this thread had just started) and my project was so far from needing a motor. But went for a Leaf motor instead, when I reached a point where I needed to start making motor mounts and driveshafts etc. stuff...

Thanks for explaining it, now I see my error in chain of thought.

So it is MAC address identification that is used for plug and charge without using a tag or app?

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

Oh yeah its the VIN broadcast in CAN that comes from the BDC? So LIM doesn't propably care much about storing it. Maybe just transmits the received VIN to CCS charger.

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller

I looked at your CAN log. A lot of this is unimportant switch positions etc or comes from the LIM. C0h is the alive signal from the gateway, 3ACh and 3BEh keeps kl30 and kl15 alive. The most interesting is 388h, it reflects the vehicle series and the country code. And the VIN with 380h is also tran...

Re: VW eGolf hardware

Please note that e-golf bms modules support up to 12cells/bms module and are connected to "dummy" modules. The bms equipped modules that do not have an external connector for additional modules on the opposite side of the CAN bus, are from hybrid vehicles like golf GTE and not from e-golf....
