So, all components removed and tracks jumpered up. Swapped R2 out for a 22k for now as it's all i had lying about.
Am I right with the wiring here on each of the connectors?

Re: Sunday Times - Underground army preaches to the converters
I'm happy for the press coverage. I'm just a bit sad to see how openinverter is never mentioned. In the two interviews i did, I dropped Openinverter in there plenty and how i would have not got where i was if not for the community built up around it. Guess anyone would start to glaze over going int...

Re: Greystones Guide - Is Fiachra Electric?
Thanks johannes! Good to hear. I was hedging my bets at approx 80-100km. Like you I have been put off by spurious soc readings and the voltage sag I see on some road tests. I don't have the BMS up and running properly yet so waiting till ibget that sorted before I start trialling long runs similar t...

I'm taking mine a step further and looking at swapping out the TRW for the Corsa B/C EPAS column. I imagine it operates the same as the Leaf or Prius steering column units. Corsa C Steering.png You can also get an aftermarket pot you fit to the dash to allow you dial up or down the responsiveness. h...

Re: Tesla Charger Support Thread
Some have reported overtemp issues mounting them in a vertical position. Particularly when running the charger at capacity. My one is vertical and I've not had any issues but I was super thorough when bleeding the system (I bled it in a horizontal position then moved it in place). Agree with that. ...

Re: EV car conversion hardware
I think with the inversion stage skipped it should do. Gotta ltspice that. Basically T2 and R4 removed and collector of T1 bridged over to R5. And voltage divider R1/R2 adjusted so T1 activates at 4V or 3V, whichever is appropriate. Thanks again Johannes for sending the unit on. So, as outlined, re...

Hey Colm Great to see you pressing ahead with the build! There are already a couple of boat projects here afaik. Can put up some photos to give us an idea what you are looking at? On the questions, here's my stab.... 1. I am leaving the out drive Alpha One Leg and going to marry up the Leaf motor to...

AH, very good. You are way further down the road thinking of Open Pilot than me Brave move. I am still at the stage where I am jumping at every noise the car makes... even though they probably made them when ICE powered.

Re: EV car conversion hardware
Hi all Just something I stumbled across today. I was out in the car and showing it to my local mechanic who also specialises in rally and track 1960's Mini's. He showed me what is used as a weapon of choice in small rally cars these days and according to him, takes an incredible amount of abuse and ...

Ah brilliant! That was a cracking read. And that VHS! Well done. Gotta love those Sunbeam Tigers. Amazing seeing the kit in Otmars test car there too. I feel like cheated so much now in my build with just having to drop in Damiens VCU, lol. Well and truly standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: EV car conversion hardware
It's hard coded :) The RC filter (R2/C1+C2) is responsible I could use one of these too. Just bench tested the Bosch 0265 005 321 Vacuum Brake Servo Sensor from the Zafira C. It works off 5v. At no vac pressure, it sites at 0.7v and when you get to max vac, it hits just over 4v. Reckon the populate...

Ah for sure. I jumped in the car yesterday after 3 weeks of not touching it (If you can believe ) and it clicked into action with not an issue. So happy with the extra work I put in. Just bench testing the new brake boost set up I have before taking things apart again.

I would rather stick to the OEM's myself. By the way, got all my brake boost parts including the Bosch 0265 005 321 Vacuum Brake Servo Sensor so plan this week to swap the servo from hydraulic to vac, get the UP28 in, test with the sensor and this vac reservoir PN 443131541 and report back. Ok, good day today. After the local motor tax office in Wicklow holding onto the paperwork for almost a month, I got the call today from them to say they finally got around to paying a bit of attention to my file and they gave it the thumbs up. Rubber stamped. The Audi 8e is now an EV :D The last pi...

The real problem i see is using brake switch. I think we would need more variation of them. I had a problem with Dracarys switch. It is easy to use, but it is terribly unreliable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dracarys-Accessories-Electric-Vacuum-Booster/dp/B07H9664YM It locks off at random. I found it ...

Howdy Cookie - Alibro got your distress call to me. I have a couple of ZE0 BMS's here. Both functional at the point of removal.
