I would google the M6 strength for steel and compare steel to copper strength and down factor accordingly. With some safety.

I'm also fighting tune issues. With much "softer" parameters than JonVolk or BoxsterEV, I'm still hitting an OC trip at WOT with a fully charged pack. I've been playing around when I can, but I'm not quite there yet. Could you post another parameter dump to look at? Also, are you having i...

Re: Wanted: HV disconect (or at least a socket bit)
Had to check the date of this post wasn't 1st April.
I haven't got one to offer, but wanted to mention that fitting one in the centre of the pack on my build was a must. I've had to go back in to the HVJB's on countless occasions and it's so much easier knowing the power is isolated.

Re: Tesla LDU HV wiring
I don’t understand what’s happening. The main contactor shouldn’t close when you apply 12v during pre-charge, but it seems to do so in your video. It should only close when pin 23 has 12v momentarily applied to enter into run mode. There is either an issue with your LV wiring, or something awry with...

What are you using for a 12v power supply?
If it’s a car battery are you sure it’s fully charged?

Okay. So you need to follow the wiring diagram on page one of this https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=76 thread and most certainly wire-in the encoder. Otherwise you will damage it. What does the last error say within the interface?
Worth ensuring the contactors all work properly before connecting HV.

Great update. Shame about the charger but interested to hear how you resolve it.
I’m leaving my Tesla gen 2 charger permanently powered on (LV) but it’ll kill the battery if not driven for a week. Need to find a solution to send it to sleep when not charging.

Re: Porsche Boxster 986 Tesla conversion [FINISHED]
You can go directly to current version. I’ve found the OTA updates a little bit hit and miss, but that was partly caused by the memory on my esp WiFi module being full - you can avoid that situation by ensuring that you don’t rename the firmware or parameter files (when doing updates ensure the new ...

Re: LDU parameter tuning
I'm not really a WOT type of person, although I do like a spirited drive. However, from my practical experience on the symptoms you describe, I don't see any benefit messing with Fweak if you are running 5.20R as it has Jon's compensation mod embedded in the code (higher Fweak in lower rev range and...

Small update. The EV conversion part of the car has been running great since upgrading the sine firmware to 5.20R. Worth a try. Some of your parameters seem even more aggressive (throtramp 75 and regenramp 100...) than the "aggressive" ones listed here https://openinverter.org/parameters/view.html?id=16

Re: LDU parameter tuning
Some of your parameters deviate quite significantly from the standard Damien default. Might be worth doing the firmware upgrade and trying a fresh known good parameter set. You’ll probably need to drop boost and Fslipmax a little here:

Re: LDU parameter tuning
I had irritating albeit infrequent on/off throttle OC issue for months running version 5.14r. Since using 5.20r not had one issue. I’ve also been able to run a higher boost value (2000) without any OC events.
Thanks to Johannes for the ongoing development.

Calling all Tesla conversion automation settings
I’m curious if any of the Tesla conversions are using a positive idlespeed setting?
If so, what are your experiences and would you care to share your settings?
Have you managed to create a smooth power delivery?
