Re: Lexus Inverter Hacking

So we cleared up the myth about Toyota motors (not) needing 600+V. Is there a reason I cannot run the GS450h MG1 & 2 using the Gen 3 Prius inverter? I am leaning towards that because of 1) the cost, 2) built-in DC-DC converter, and 3) looks like it supplies power to the electrical AC compressor...

Re: 2004 RWDrift Forester XT

As far as cheaper alternatives, I believe the 2007 Camry hybrid inverter also works, just rearranged pinout for the main connector. Internally, I'm sure the Camry hybrid is lower powered, I just don't kow by how much.

Hardware to run it is on the board, but no software is written to run it yet. Read closer

Hardware Precharge Circuit

I was thinking about this the other day, and Drew up a simple (read: crude) hardware Precharge circuit. Any reason why this wouldn't work?

Re: Reconfigure Volt / Ampera Battery

As ps stated, it should be possible. I intend on doing something similar while using the stock bms with Tom's simpbms, so if you plan on reusing the bms make sure you label the connectors that go with each slave module because they are different

Re: Leaf Gen 1 Inverter Board

I was looking over the code on the GitHub and didn't see anything mentioning Regen or anything like that. I did notice that in the section where it talks about throttle values, it states that there will be no negative throttle values (for now). So, I guess my question is just: Does this code revisio...

Re: 1970 Opel GT - Forklift ACIM - Project Log & Inverter Build

AFAIK, Damien's board there is used for development, i.e., it's not a replacement logic board. On his GitHub you can find the schemarics, bom, pretty much everything you need, but be aware, it is very involved.

Re: Toyota GT86 with Nissan Leaf Motor

Unfortunately it does not, it has to much play on the shaft and will most likely wear out! It's the same with the Suzuki Samurai Clutch disc. Fiat clutch disc is 20,1x22,5-20N, which is by the way the same as every cheap Lada Niva disc! Nissan leaf is 20x22-20N I might have found something from a P...

Re: Toyota GT86 with Nissan Leaf Motor

FYI, some threads floating around on other forums state that the Fiat Multipla clutch friction plate has the same diameter and spline count and should fit the leaf motor shaft. Just ordered one for myself, so I guess I'll find out as well.
