Re: E46 Touring Project Engine Delete
Following as I also have an E46 Touring. Are you going to do any subframe reinforcement? Reinforcing for what? I’ll drop my diff and get it spray blasted and powder coated sometime soon as it’s not in the best of states and while it’s out I’ll take care of the classic e46 subframe rust if that’s wh...

Progress been somewhat slow lately but today has been good.. Battery day! Got a complete 2018 Tesla 75 kWh pack, 20k miles for £100/kWh, I’m pleased with that, bonus picked up a gen2 Prius inverter for £50 from the same people and the battery pack came with the original Tesla charging cables and an ...

Little more progress on the engine delete project: Made an adaptor plate for my adaptor plate, which locks the spline to my adaptor plate..... still needs to be welded but it is raised inwards from the bell housing to get a good grip on the spline and will be able to handle more than enough torque, ...

Re: CAN displays
something i haven't tried but have downloaded is an app called RealDash, you can design your own dashboard, displays or interface (a lot of customisation) and have it read it all out with can, obd etc. in theory it looks pretty good
im planning on using that with an old samsung tablet

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Can anyone advise whether it’s safe/possible to remove the converter connector without any affect to the functioning of the inverter.
Doubt it has any affect but just double checking

Fuel tank is now removed, space should be big enough for a model 3 PCS, planning to reuse the Fuel filler tube to the tank area as a housing for HV cables from the charge port AB9982FF-F571-41FF-827B-1A028CBCB5C7.jpeg This weekend’s tasks are to replace the inverter connector which I’ve already star...

Similar story with my E46, looking at cutting out the rear wheel and widening it to the width of the car so i can fit some battery modules there.
Also how has your insurance been affected?

Got it spinning! Turns out it was the resolvers, I read my wiring diagram wrong and only used 5/8 of the connectors for each resolver, so I connected the ones I missed and it now spins!

Yes, I've tried it in a few different gears to no prevail.Jack Bauer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 9:10 am Sounds like a resolver wiring issue.
edit : can you spin the tailshaft by hand to confirm its not in park?
Just noticed my MG1 and MG2 stator temps are over 100c so certainly sounds like a resolver issue

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
On the wiki page it says, to replace the impossible to find inverter connector you’ll need: 32x 064323-1029 Terminals and 1x 064320-1311 connector receptacle, but they aren’t compatible as far as I can tell. The terminals are too large for the receptacle even after removing a layer of plastic and th...

Re: GS450H Discussion
Yep, the GS has a solenoid as part of the shifter assembly. For a bare transmission, you don't get that. Since I used a motor to move in/out of park, I do the lockout in software (I take the two brake pedal sensors as inputs). I'm not sure how you'd implement a lockout solenoid, to be honest, it mi...
