I'm going to pick up the body in Florida next week and once I get it on the frame I will know more. I would ...

Re: Kia EV6 2p6s modules

I’m not sure about how to string them together was thinking putting 2 modules is parallel and 15 series. The motor is a M3 980 motor. I’m new at this any suggestions are more than welcome. I understand it won’t be cheap. Any oem ones that would work?

What is a cost effective BMS for 2p6s modules I will be using 30 of these configured for +- 400volts in a Tesla powered Model A Ford. Thanks in advance.

Over Current errors SOLVED

I just started my Tesla SDU for the first time and was getting over current errors. I turned out to be the HV cables to the motor not seated and the interlock was not being made. I stumbled on a post that spoke about the interlocks. Just something to keep in mine when you see this error.

Re: Jk-BMS

I found the calibration area ad put in a value nothing changed. Put the old value in and it is now correct. I'll take it.

Jk-BMS

I’m testing battery packs from a Honda Clarity.
If I take my multimeter and check the cells they are all 3.97 but this reading is not the same in the jk app note cell 1 resistance and voltage. Any thoughts as to why? Image[/img]

12s pack tester. ( Honda Clarity)

I have 20 12s packs I need to test and balance. Could anyone recommend a reasonable cost tester?

Thanks,

Test Bench setup

Hi,

I'm just about ready to install my board in a Tesla S SDU. I would like to set up a test bench to simulate the battery pack, what voltage and current is is a good start for testing to get the motor spinning?

Re: Tesla SDU forward direction

As I am about to install my SDU which will be running in reverse based on the normal Tesla layout should I be concerned ?? I have removed the mechanical oil pump and added an external electric oil pump so thats not the issue.

Peter,

What did you use for a pump? Is there a thread on this mod ...

Sending CAN Buss comands

Will the controller board for a Tesla motor be able to send commands to my power steering pump on my Mini Cooper?

Required messages are:
CAS (key switch)- 0x130 - Terminal status
DSC - 0x1A0 - Vehicle speed - Impact on assistance
Engine ECU - 0x1D0 - Engine Run

Dual motor project

Hi,

I tried to search this but came up with nothing. I'm think of a two tesla motor build. What are the issues with syncing the motors to work together. I have a Tesla LDU and A SDU for the project. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Gary

Motor Direction

On a Tesla SDU can the motor be used in either direction for forward? I'm trying to decide how to mount it in a Mini Cooper.

Thanks
