Re: Nissan Leaf BMS
These BMS's seem quite cheap on Ebay and somewhat doable to work with. Are there any specific reasons for not using them with other battery packs than the Leaf ones? I read that it also works with less that 96s packs. Can anyone confirm? I happen to have bought two 60s Kokam packs from this client o...

Maximum voltage Tesla SDU and gen2 DC-DC
Hi all, Could someone tell me what the maximum voltage is for the Tesla SDU and DC-DC converter? Maybe the info is somewhere on the forum, but I can't find it. I think about using a 120s 480 V battery pack and wonder if it could do any harm. If so, I could take out some of the modules, but then I wo...

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
Assuming the wholesalers are based in the EU. Would it be easier to do an EU buy? It would be easier for money transfers, I think we have enough contacts here to make transport possible and I think the volume would still be enough to qualify. Not to try to exclude the rest of the world, just trying...

Re: Wanted Tesla dc to dc connectors
The right one is a Molex 33472-1201. They only cost a few bucks.

Re: SDU Logic board V6
Then I would send 2x320V=640VDC into the Tesla inverter. Wouldn't that be dangerous?

Re: SDU Logic board V6
Another question about buck/boost mode charging: Considering a fairly common 96s lithium pack, battery voltage would be between ~288V and ~384V. Using just 320VDC rectified mains as a power supply would not be very convenient right? It would be too high for boost mode, but too low for buck mode. Any...

Re: BMW hybrid battery group buy
I want to go for 18 modules if it is still possible.
Could pick them up somewhere in the Netherlands/NW Germany.

Huge source of second hand components
Hi all, Last Sunday I met a guy who disassembles old industrial machines. He has a huge collection of components for power electronics, machine parts, hydraulics, etc and he sells for good prices. Under the following link you'll find some of the components he sells on Marktplaats (Dutch subsidiary o...

Re: SDU Logic board V6
Hi, So I already have to buy a bridge rectifier for boost mode charging. Could I use it to power my Tesla SDU from the mains, just for low load testing? I can imagine that the incontinuous voltage is not ideal, but do I risk destroying anything (assuming that I dont electrocute myself and use some s...

Re: SDU Logic board V6
Thanks. I will let you know as soon as I've tried. It will take some time though, as I am just at the beginning of this conversion project. If all goes well, I will receive a Tesla Model S front drive unit this Friday. Then I will pre-order the logic board. I am putting together my own battery of re...

Re: SDU Logic board V6
Hi all,
Would boost mode charging be possible with the Tesla SDU drop-in boards?
