Late 2023 Leaf is likely using different CAN messages, I tried it with Zombieverter and it did not work like the earlier gen3 stacks did. Some of the hardware is different too like the onboard charger (PDM). So likely this needs to be reverse engineered again.

There could be not much wrong, the charger just needs one diode and two resistors to make the ABB happy. Don't have osciloscope. Can I measure resistance or something? What must be the values of those resistors? I have never been able to charge at those ABB chargers while other people are charging ...

Looked into this with another customer. If there is no way to physically disconnect the motor from the drivetrain for cruising when not used then preferably it has to be the induction type of motor. PMSM will draw a little bit of current even when freewheeling.
