Nice project! The car looks like it is in great condition.
I drive my electric red Saab 96 1962 (that looks like it has escaped from the junkyard compared to yours) almost every day!
They are really fun to drive, even without a lot of power (I only have a “10kw bldc” motor in it.

After more troubleshooting I feel like I'm even more lost... I checked the encoder shield and it seemed to be correctly connected to ground. The motor cuts directly on all gears if the throttle is used aggressively, if used very very very carefully it is possible to drive the car at slow speed. I tr...

I have no idea, I don’t get any information from the controller.
