3phase charging issue gen3 v3

Hi all, hope you have an easy fix. I am having trouble with initiating all three modules on the charger. If I set it to manual 3p it only turns on one module not all 3. I can swap from charger 1,2or 3, but individually. I am on the latest firmware and have the gen 3 charger on the v3 board. Each one...

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit Support Thread

Hi Guys
Has anyone had issues with high inverter heat sink temperatures? I haven’t pushed mine hard yet and I am seeing 80deg C. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Info on BMW hybrid battery packs?

Hi all, I must say the stuff you have put on here is brilliant. Has anyone run the 12kwh packs in parallel with BMS working for both battery packs? I want to run 2 packs of these 12 kwh batteries in parallel to give a bigger punch and range. Any help will be hugely appreciated. If possible I would l...

Battery import from US to UK

Hi guys

Has anyone imported batteries from the US? I am looking at bringing in some LG Chems over.
Has anyone here any experience with this, who did you use? How much was it?

Cheers

Re: Battery choices

Busted again.
Looks like it’ll be the Chevy volt/bolt or the LG used by EV west.

Does anyone have a good place to get the Chevy stuff in the uk?

Cheers again all

Fab thanks. What’s the thermal management on them and are they the same as the Chevy volt?

Re: Battery choices

Thanks Tom.
What does anyone know about the Zoe 41kwh batteries as they are LG and seem to come in at around 200kg. Would they be the same as the Chevy batteries?

Re: Battery choices

Forgot to say it seems very hard to get Chevy batteries over here in the UK especially newer spec.
Would a Tesla pack sag that badly under full load compared with the LG?

Thank you so much for the responses guys. Lots to think about.
I just looked at the E Golf batteries, but these seem to be very heavy.

Battery choices

Hey all, I am currently building a sportscar with an LDU in. I am really struggling with the battery choices. Obviously the Tesla 90 battery pack is an easy install with the BMS, thermal managements and of course the density is great. The Tesla 3 batteries are just too long for my build so they are ...

LDU performance which one.

Please don’t shoot me down too much, but I probably deserve it. Are the LDU are all the same hardware after 2017 just differing with the Tesla software? Before 2017 I would need to have a performance LDU to get the maximum power from it? Do you get better power from the pre 17 performance or post 17...
