Ah, it's too late - it's gone at this point. I do appreciate the thought though!

Re: US - Colorado area EV Conversion companies
It was all in this thread: https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=714&start=125 I have certain pieces, but no motor or batteries. Trying to find someone to build a battery box was much more challenging than I imagined. On the flip side, me and the bf got rid of all of our gas vehicles - ...

US - Colorado area EV Conversion companies
Hey all. Long time no chat. I've moved to the Denver area (in Loveland, CO, actually) - trying to find an EV conversion place that can help me do the battery box design and the actual conversion. As some of you remember, I'm definitely more a software guy than hands on haha. I'm buying a house soon ...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
Yep. Just like the Tesla stuff wants to know drive system status with DC vs doesn't care with AC. 0xa5 sounds like a similar thing. (Based on what little I know of BMW BN architecture CAN messages)

Re: Tesla Model 3 Charge Port Controller Standalone Development
I'd call this pretty successful - I updated 9 messages to be all 0x00 or at least 90% 0x00 and AC charging still works. No idea if I broke any DC stuff haha. Thankfully it's all in one commit so it's easy to revert. ;) On another note... PXL_20220622_220528627.jpg I got a datalog for CCS charging fr...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Charge Port Controller Standalone Development
...and success. I'll check on the actual Gen4 CP ECU tomorrow, but the Gen3 one running the same software was very angry as well. Aside from the issues I knew about, it was missing a new message. Value seems static for the moment so, yay? LOL. Next step before moving forward is to step back and try ...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Charge Port Controller Standalone Development
Some good news, some bad news. Good news: my car should support CCS now. I'm still waiting on my adapter to be shipped from South Korea. I ordered it with the nice carrying case they had, which delayed things. It should be shipping out in the next dew days though. I drove to the service center and p...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Charge Port Controller Standalone Development
I just picked up something of interest yesterday. PXL_20220611_182510936.jpg My local Tesla Service Center had them in stock, and after waiting for about 35 minutes to have a conversation, I had the part 5 minutes after that. :) No idea what state it is in at this point, nor if the data is anything ...

Re: 330e Hybrid Swap
I was going to do a hybrid set up but eventually decided that I should finish my EV conversion first. :) My plan, however was to: * Have OEM ECU run engine. * VCU control coordination between setups * Use engine run switch as relay output to start and stop engine enable to OEM ECU....so basically it...

Re: 2004 BMW 330 with SMG/SSG Gearbox
So, I reached out and finally got some final info on the motor I was looking at. It's not 480 Nm at 700A. It's not 480 Nm at 900A. It's 439Nm at 905A. Ouch. The price for the motor is $3500. It's ENGIRO GmbH 260W-08011-ABC motor. I recently sold the LG Batteries I had. I was going to get the OxDrive...

Re: Leaf spline coupler
As I will update in my project thread - I may be going back to a Nissan Leaf motor.
I intend to use this with a flywheel / clutch / BMW 6-speed manual (M54 engine originally).. am I better off getting the first or the second version?
Thanks,
-Matt

Hi, I know that is very diifferent. I am just trying to understand how the charge works on a tesla and find doc for that. Awesome work. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
I did some math and I think the Energy modules will be fine for my long-term use. But I think you're gonna have lots of fun with your setup!

Well, I'm alive, and slowly returning back to this stuff. I actually recently found a bug in my wheel speed code: This: local frontCanAndRPMScaler = 60 / ( Wheel Speed.Front.Circumference * Constants.rpmTOdegsec); local rearCanAndRPMScaler = 60 / ( Wheel Speed.Rear.Circumference * Constants.rpmTOdeg...

Re: High-Power L110 Hybrid / EV-only Regen Potential Issues?
I always forget about field weakening. But I'm going to assume that's not in play here, at least not in the MG1 situation, as it's being driven by the engine externally. I guess the other issue is we don't have working regen (as of the last time I looked into this deeply) so the current behavior is ...
