Cool! You wouldn’t happen to have come accross a pinout of these, would you? I have tried and failed to find one in the past…

Re: I bought an ISASCALE Contactor Box - Now what?

I am in Austria and used a forwarding service to get them to send it here … forward2me

I ..err.. cheated slightly, as i put in the us shipping address i got from the service also as billing address on greentec auto (required a us address).

Went down without an issue. Price went up, of course, with ...

Re: I bought an ISASCALE Contactor Box - Now what?

is that board its own thing though? i assumed it had some control smarts that would need to be reverse engineered, if it's a complete all in one precharge contactor package with no reverse engineering needed thats extremely nice

Well, since the layout and components used seem great no matter ...

Re: I bought an ISASCALE Contactor Box - Now what?

Interesting & handy detail on the two big Gigavac GV200BAB-1 contactors:

They are the dual coil version. This means that while they do not have an economizer, they automatically will — after initial closing (aka “pick-up”) current (3.9A for 0.75 sec) — release one of the two coils to make the ...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

Hi!

On a whim, I ordered 2 populated foccci’s yesterday (I am far from ready to seriously think about CCS - but the project is just too cool :) )

Anyway, FYI, JLCPCB was picky about the footprint of L13 - see image. They would have placed it, but “without right to complain”

I have not the means ...

Re: Reverse Speeds Leaf drivetrain

Also, if using the Zombieverter you should be able to swap forward & reverse direction in config. No need to swap any phases or resolver.

Correct me if I misunderstood - i have not yet tried (but am planning to do just that)

Re: VW Transporter -85 EV conversion

Can you give more details on your pack if you have them, like model year and trim? I've seen (supposedly) 55kWh packs that use the full length of the battery case, so it'd be good to see if there's a way of knowing if a pack has short or long modules. The short modules would definitely be the ones ...

Re: Zombieverter PCB - “Soldering area too small”

Thank you all so much! Very welcoming.

And what is very clear to me now, is that my original question was actually better suited at Patreon directly.

I found the correct files now! (Hint: on Patreon, search for “Zombie” only, not “Zombieverter” in full :) )

I can continue on my journey again with ...

Re: Zombieverter PCB - “Soldering area too small”

Oh, thank you!

I guess i will need to search the wiki for a more up-to-date BOM file and compare - i already exchanged a few parts myself, but that was only due to sunsetted / unstocked parts...

Will give this a try & share the BOM file i used with success in the end

EDIT: Idiot, ignorant me had ...

Re: Zombieverter PCB - “Soldering area too small”

You‘re right ofc - The image they attached didn‘t have the items in question on it though, so not so useful. The preview in the order (now cancelled) does however.

To me it looked like the parts fitted no problem, but ... as said, i have no Idea what I'm ...

Zombieverter PCB - “Soldering area too small”

Hi everyone!

I recently became a Patreon supporter of Damien, to start my journey towards electrifying my VW T3 bus.

I downloaded the Zombieverter plot files, had a look, checked some components availability… felt courageous and exchanged a few parts with available ones (identical specs - is that ...
