Re: I am looking for an electric van/bus!
If you intend to buy a Kangoo and keep it for a longer time: Make sure the suspension and all the typical non EV relatet mechanical parts of the undercarriage are in good condition. They are known to be a bit special in that regards and it can be really annoying and expensive to fix this stuff if yo...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
That is not the situation at almost all public charge stations I've visited (Pacific Northwest, USA). I'd agree based on my experience in the southeastern US. Way too many stations at the back of large parking lots or tucked around a corner out of the way. I've been sketched out a few times (and I'...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
ot very safe (I think anyone can come near the CCS cable and sniff the MAC address) but really cool Well most charging parks have cameras nowadays. So this shouldnt be too big of a problem. And they have actually some kind of detection of fraudulent activitiys. They were catching all those people c...

Re: Renault Zoe Mk1 (2012-2019) - Basic Hardware Overview
Thanks for the insights. Are you saying there is a data link between motor and inverter? Had to recheck to give accurate info... Yes and no. There definitly is one (but maybe not Can-Bus). But before I go into details: There are different versions of the Zoe. You can differantiate them with the Des...

Re: Removed quote button and added alternative
Another variant would be making the standard quote button context sensitive. If something is selected it will quote the selection otherwise the entire post. That sounds like a great compromise (also seems more intuitiv to me as quotes will be in one central place) :) Although I want to mention, tha...

Re: Removed quote button and added alternative
Well I am late to the party as usual. (was absent to the forum for a few weeks because of exam period but have noticed the quote changes when I quickly looked in the forum. So here are my 2 cents: 1. It might be one of the numerous plugins I have installed in my browser but if somebody quotes a larg...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
Does the Clara do the follow: 1. detect plugged in 2. determine the CP signal is 5% pwm for DC or above for AC 3. recieve request to charge or verify okay to start 3.lock motor 4. Enable EVSE via CP pull down 5a. stop because EVSE stops, info via CP 5b. stop because EV requests stop via CAN (or how...

Re: Renault Zoe Mk1 (2012-2019) - Basic Hardware Overview
I just talked to a guy from Frankfurt who wants to use a Zoe drivetrain in his conversion. That is battery, inverter and motor with a custom VCU or Zombieverter. I agreed to put running Zoe in my driveway for CAN logs (+ an extra motor and inverter) but now as it seems that might not even be necess...

Re: ISO TP can Kangoos BMS
There is the CANze app, which should be able to read out the BMS data. This seems to be open source here: https://github.com/fesch/CanZE On first look I was not able to find the details there, but they should. CanZE actually reads mostly diagnostic data on free frames that come through a gateway fr...

Yes, we have the production. Please contact me if you need. Boris@longoodint.com Since this is now in production just a quick question out of curiosity: Did you guys use any of the software (for example pyPLC, ccs32clara, etc...) as a starting point for your implementation or did you do a complete ...

Re: Renault Zoe Mk1 (2012-2019) - Basic Hardware Overview
Hey there, I may able to help you out with your Zoe PH1 CAN data. Let me setup a repo and I will add some DBC files and an extensive collection of logs (which I think were found in here). Edit: Logs can be found in this forum here viewtopic.php?p=40132#p40132 and I've uploaded an unzipped copy here...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
Does clara have a defined interface to receive BMS communications regarding maximum charge current & voltage, dynamically? The only User of Focci+Clara that is using it in an actual EV is afaik Johu. My plan is to use a (modified) version of this project as a retrofit solution to an OEM/legacy ...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
By the way: How big are the chances that a normal 230V-in-USB-out mobile phone charger will work with DC Input? Chances should be pretty high. Phone Chargers (at least in the last years) are typically Switched-mode power supplys. So they have a bridge rectifier to convert the AC to DC. If you apply...

Thanks to @bigpie Jamie for setting up this Renault section. I have loads of stuff dotted around relating to the Mk1 Zoe. I own a 2018 41kWh Zoe R110, which I've done a lot of digging and prodding with. If anyone would like any particular logs, any photos, diagrams, measurements, information etc ab...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
I've never seen one around. Do you know which providers typically use them? Comfortcharge (Telekom) uses Delta Chargers (Delta EVC 150; Delta UFC 200). Also have seen them used scattered by MER and Allego. But I think both replaced them with Alpitronic Units. Which (from my perspective) makes sense...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
Yes, makes sense. I've created a CCS category and maybe this could contain the contents of https://openinverter.org/wiki/CCS_Fast_Charging_(Overview) and make that redundant. It automatically links to all pages in that category. My original intention with it was that I wanted to create a page that ...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
Concerning wiki I found we also have this page: https://openinverter.org/wiki/CCS_EVCC_using_AR7420 . Maybe should be merged into the new pages I would rename the page to "pyPLC". I would not merge it completly but just merge the generell CCS Stuff to the new page as it would be a duplica...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?
https://openinverter.org/wiki/Rapid_Charging There's a page for the overview of the 2 standards, we should try to avoid duplication on the wiki, but also keep things organised and easy to find. I would suggest starting from this page, add a link to your overview of the protocol page, and create a n...

Re: Please don't stone me ;-) CCS to Type 2 AC Adapter/Converter?
Or convince the conversion company to use your own second hand components and go with AC system and higher battery voltage. Then they will only be liable for their work and not their components. If a component fails simply replace it at your own cost. 😉 As someone who grew up in the Frankfurt Regio...

Re: where to pass TUV in Germany
Does anyone know a laboratory where I can pass the EMC tests? Some Universitys have those labs. At least here in Karlsruhe we have one at KIT (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie). Specifically at the IEH (Institut für Elektroenergiesysteme und Hochspannungstechnik). They are also accredited. If I ...
