Re: Lexus GS450H Li-ion PHEV (?)
you know.. the 2013 Prius PHEV... the PHEV system is on its own seperate ECU. I wonder if you could use the PHEV ECU to make your dream a reality.

Re: Toyota RAV4 EV (2012-2014): Add CCS DCFC
My first 3D scanner: I bought a Creality Lizard last week -- got a near-new one for USD$370 -- and it is pretty useless for reverse-engineering the orange HV cover on the Tesla charge port. It'll make an OK scan, but there's so much detail that I want in exactly the right place, ±0.1mm (.004")...

Re: Prius Gen2 Boost Converter - how to use? [SOLVED]
Why would you like to boost battery voltage higher? I'm not familiar with Prius transaxle, but I'm pretty sure you don't need higher voltage even to reach top RPM from both MGs. For comparison GS450h will get 10000rpm at 250V. Because you want to use other cells that make up a smaller battery pack ...

Re: Lexus GS450H Li-ion PHEV (?)
It's my understanding, you should be able to take out the NiMh cells and replace with Li-ion. Long as you don't go lower in Volts than the original battery is, itll work! Now this is in the Prius world, lots are switching-over to Li-ion. After upgrading my 2013 Plug-in Prius HV batteries to double t...

Re: Toyota RAV4 EV (2012-2014): Add CCS DCFC
Replacing the battery modules, due to normal aging, or to take advantage of newer battery technology and higher energy density, has been on my radar for years, but will be a separate endeavor. I have been attempting to obtain an empty RAV4 EV battery case, so far unsuccessfully. Whole RAV4 EV batte...

Re: Toyota RAV4 EV (2012-2014): Add CCS DCFC
I love all of this. I have a 2013 Prius Plug-in and for a while there I considered using your battery as an upgrade, now the bz4x battery might work for you as well now that I think about it!
