Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
It is my understanding the inverters are the same and not limited. So by sending a torque command via canbus past the 60/70kw output will give you the desired power. However its been recognized that the front generator side of the inverter does have an rpm limit, a torque limit and i believe a power...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander Front inverter
@Nathiel I was more aiming towards, connecting your generator phases wires and resolver into the front motor inverter outputs/inputs. Then commanding torque via the front motor canbus coding to drive the generator. Then you wouldn't have these torque or rpm limits you experienced. I am curious if th...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander Front inverter
Interesting post. If there is a torque and rpm limit for the generator motor portion of the inverter. Did you try to plug the motor and resolver into the front motor part of the inverter. The front motor inverter portion should have a 14k(ish) rev limit/ 137nm and 60kw. Once of course the resolver i...

Sorry to hear it needs to be revised. I've been following your videos on YouTube
and looking forward to your rear outlander motor progress.
I also have a complete rear outlander motor and stock inverter sitting in my project car. but its a long way from running right now.

Why is no one using a gearbox from a Peugeot 3008 hybrid. Re: Smart Roadster
Hi Pete the evolution miev used the stock motor and inverter upto 100kw and much higher torque levels. the outlander using 80s batterys will do 70kw i plan to run 96s and 85-90kw. From other peope experimenting the inverter is a dumb unit and just gives torque output when requested. Its up to anothe...

Re: Smart Roadster
Very nice build. I also like the appeal of the roadsters almost Lotus Elise like dimensions. I also have an outlander rear motor and outlander inverter. Have you both considered using the outlander inverter and feeding it canbus messages alone to drive it. Without the use of a v3 board. I also have ...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
Before getting into transmission fabrication. Look out for an I-miev motor and gearbox. Outlander is indeed tall because of its orientation. But i-miev is lower down and practically the same motor from what i have found. Like most people using the outlander inverters, you might also have some luck u...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
Hello All, Good to see some more people having luck with these components. I'm still having a bit of trouble actually getting the inverter activating and motor turning despite being pretty confident we're sending all the right messages. I feel like it's a sequencing issue on start-up, I think I can...

Well done great news.
Looking forward to seeing the kw limit and will these inverters actually delivery over 200nm like i assume they will

Data logthe canbus PIDS 285,286,287 and 371 at the same time for rear inverter control i believe. 285 is EVSE CP pulldown enable telegram 286 is charger voltage/current control telegram 287 i dont yet know, this might be the torque telegram? 371 is also unknown to me. Might be the inverter output? ...

You need 0x285 0x286 0x287 and 0x371. To drive the rear inverter.
Are you only sending one canbus command? Or multiple?

Re: Mitsubishi outlander charger and DC:DC
Just got my Outlander DC-DC & Charger fully working, thanks for the information in this thread ! A tone-generator app & headphone-out + small amplifier gave me the possibility to generate the various 1KHz PWM-width's for simulating the EVSE. However, it would be nice to be able to set a max...

Re: Outlander PHEV to full EV
The main component is the PHEV ECU, many people trick the can-bus system so the ICE engine doesnt start and it stays in EV mode for longer than normal. I would test with the ice engine still present but with some of the ICE electronics removed like engine ecu unplugged and confirm you dont get any c...

Re: Outlander FEMCU (front inverter)
I am hopeful the stock inverter and stock board will purely run on canbus commands well above the stock torque and power ratings on the outander. The i-miev evolution 2&3 used stock imiev inverter and a seperate board sending canbus commands and they both ran 300nm torque and between 100-112.5kw...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander rear axle
That was my next question, what from the parts bin will fit, so far nothing i can think of visually. I know miev evolution 3 uses imiev motors running 300nm and 112kw. So im hoping these motors will take 120kw for brief periods and an LSD would be ideal. Otherwise its straight to quaife for another ...

Nice pictures of the transmission,
The diff certainly doesn't look like conventional Mitsubishi diff.
Does it have a part number or any kinda of details on it?

thanks thats a great help i traced the lines to a DC voltage isolation sensor.
