Re: Tesla's NACS and the Future of Fast Charging in North America
Also like this section: 4.6.1 The North American Charging Standard is compatible with Vehicle to X (i.e. Vehicle to load, Vehicle to home, vehicle to grid) power transfer. Future versions of this technical specification will specify the functional requirements and specifications required to achieve ...

Re: Tesla's NACS and the Future of Fast Charging in North America
This is already done.... Its on the app and you just add a credit card to the app to start charging. It seems to me NACS is basically CCS2 with a different physical connector, so that's not an issue. However you bring a good point about payments. I hope Tesla activates payment via app for all EVs in...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
I'm trying to get ahold of the voltage measuring board for my LIM CCS Conversion. Can someone provide one for me to purchase?
Re: Teslarado
I ordered a CCS1 200A port and Tesla Gen 2 Charger Board today. Need to get this truck on the road. Dilithium Slave boards should be arriving today to finish the battery wiring along with the HV contactor junction box and fuses. Making progress. Might get driveshaft spin this weekend....
Re: Teslarado
Good catch. Forgot to mention that. 9.3 ratio SDU, 3.73 axels. 28 to 1 overall. Top speed 50 mph. 4.5 ratio gear set unavailable, Q1/2 2023 availability. So Ill deal with it being in town for now.muehlpower wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 10:09 am what about the gear ratio? Are there suitable gears for the SDU?

Ok, so I've been silently watching and building. Well, the time has come to join in. I have a 14 Chevy Silverado 2500 that had a Duramax. Drivetrain is gone. Fuel tank is staying as I'm adding a 22kW diesel range extender. I have added a 1st gen Chevy Volt battery where the exhaust went. It roughly ...

Re: BMW LIM based CCS2 Controller
As a not-very-educated-in-electronics person, I'm deeply interested in purchasing whatever shortcuts to CCS charging goodness I can get. Seems like most people on here are in Europe. I sincerely hope there's a CCS type 1 adaptation that can be had using this method. Does anyone know if CCS type 1 a...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU V3 STM32 Software Development
I'm interested in helping financially to get the gs450h controller software developed. I have a v2 board ordered that I'd like to use in the meantime.

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
I've had my Smith Newton for going on 2 years now, just sitting here and I find myself wanting to get it running. I've decided I'm going to pull the gs450h to power the Smith. I also have a 22kW diesel genset that will give me extended range and site power while constructing Solar Projects here in r...

Re: 08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
So I basically gave up on getting the Lexus running a few months ago, mostly because the system isn't working like it should and I can't get any life out of anything. I have the car in storage now waiting for something to change. I still haven't received my board from Damian, apparently there was a ...

Re: 08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
That's the first thing I checked, there's continuity inside the service plug. I'm still investigating. The hybrid pack has many batteries below 6v. I'm wondering if I can recharge them to get this thing working again. I have a charger that I can set to pack voltage. What voltage and current should I...

Re: 08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
Wires from the pack show 0v going into the relay module with the disconnect installed. That's why I think it's corrosion or something. I'll find out today.

Re: 08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
Well, the faults won't clear and I'm wondering now if there aren't multiple modules out. I'm almost thinking of taking on an easier project and just pulling the motor and inverter out of this thing. The car is in ok shape, but there are missing parts that will be fairly expensive. Needs a hood, back...

Re: 08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
Ok, biggest problem now is the car won't start/drive because of major hybrid faults. I have a Toyota interface cable that has given me hybrid module faults and battery faults. So I don't know if I'll be able to get anything useful out of the can system unless I can spoof it into working with the men...

08 Lexus GS450H swap - Lexi Clone
Here's what I hope it's the beginning of a fairly quick conversion of my recently purchased 08 Lexus GS450H with a dead hybrid battery for $1500. I'll get it home today and start pulling the engine immediately. I have ordered the VCU so that will be my first part in waiting on, I already have a 13 C...

Re: LEXI - Lexus GS450H Hybrid to Electric Drive
I plan to start, I need some guidance on what all I'll need to get the car back into action. My plan is to pull the engine immediately after getting it, possibly even today as I'm picking it up this morning. I'll pull the engine, fuel tank, hybrid battery, and all associated parts not needed. Then I...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Just purchased a good condition 2008 GS450H that has a battery fault. I plan to convert to EV by selling off the engine first to fund batteries. Will I be able to just plug in this board and drive away without the engine or is there going to be a lot of faults stopping me from doing that. I'm anxiou...
