Hi, could I ask an easy question...hopefully. I've also got a Passat battery, what's the voltage of each module? I need 48V modules so don't want to break it open unless the modules are 48V. Do you know? Love the build and the real-life timescale!
To explain, i bought the battery for use with a ...

Re: Passat battery details
Sorry for not replying sooner - thought the system would email when there was a response. Thanks for the Passat info. Re the cost of registering a new build: A new self-build and any significant alteration to an existing car has to pass an "IVA" test (individual vehicle approval). This is to check ...

Passat battery details
Hi, hoping one of you can help. Any info very gratefully received, I have a battery pack from a Passat 2021 part no:3Q080484J. I bought it to run a Leaf motor but the regulations in the UK make getting on the road in a new build with a high voltage set up prohibitively expensive. So i am now looking ...

Re: UK IVA Modifications
Unfortunately I’m build a car from scratch (bought part built kit car…and then spent years re building better) so will definitely need to pass an IVA test. Wondering whether the ECE R100 test will destroy the kit car industry once you can’t register ICE cars. Hoping that OEM battery packs may be the ...

I'm looking for a pointer to some basic practical information about battery packs and charging. I'm converting a kit car to electric with a Leaf stack and have got the motor running using a Zombieverter and a rectified mains feed. Now it's time to add batteries. I was thinking of buying an ...

Charging other batteries with Leaf charger
Hi, hopefully a nice basic question. I’m looking to buy kit to start an EV build and wondering about compatibility between Leaf chargers and other battery packs. Can you charge other battery packs using the Leaf charger. Looking at the Outlander battery pack as a good option for what I think I need ...
