Lightyear One prototypes, batteries, drivetrains auction
https://www.troostwijkauctions.com/nl/auction/01-46135/
Have fun! No idea if this would be of any use. But potentially a cheap way to acquire some cheap batteries.
Prototypes and drivetrains are very cool as well.

Re: Volvo V60 battery pack
Hi @kutato72, Do you know if the new V60 with bigger battery capacity has the same physical battery size? of course the questions: is there any hope of putting a bigger battery in an older V60 PHEV... Drove a v60 d6 phev for a few years. Loved it. Still have some kind of wish to buy one for cheap a...

Re: Background Info For using Tesla M3 RDU + Tesla M3 Battery Pack
Question 4. The early SR M3s had shorter battery modules. The later SR M3s (shanghai factory) use a different and less energy dense battery module that is larger compared to the early M3s

That sound pretty cool! A mppt that can directly feed the HVDC battery. Could you share some more details? There have been several topics on this forum on adding solar panels to a build. In the end most people connected it to 12v.

Tesla gen2 charger
Hi all, I'm putting my ev plans on a bit longer timeline. I also plan to use another charger once things kickoff. I therefore plan to sell my Tesla gen2 charger. Bought it of eBay about a year ago. Charger is located in The Netherlands but I'm fine with international shipping as well. I'll lookup th...

A quick calculation gives me a required continuous power of 30,2kw to maintain 120kmh. Assuming a cvalue of 0.3. Was not able to find actual c value of the panamera.

The moment you start hooking up Orion BMS to these modules I'd be very interested to see some details and pinout. So far I was not able to find any pinouts of the m3 modules and how to exactly connect to orion

Checkout the VW ID3 modules. High density andere when using the high voltage ones a nice pack comparable to the Tesla pack

Very Nice! Looks like fun. Also nice to see that slowly these 100kw chademo chargers become available (before being phased out again in favor of CCS).

What kind of connection plug did you use. And how is the charging managed? You use orionbms in this build correct?

Very nice developments. Do you already know how the maximum charge current is defined in de LIM? Will this be fixed to the 50kW i3 speed or can we expect faster CCS charging speeds?
50kW seems a bit slow for today's standards. Anyway still super interesting!

No! Never its already waiting for over 8 tears for a full makeover. An additional 6months will not make a difference. Currently it is in my workshop 45min drive away. From next year its 45 seconds away. Which gives me alot of extra time to work on it

Nope (only in my head). Bought a new house with room for a two-car mancave conversion garage. Will first finish that before proceeding with this project.EV_Builder wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 11:02 pm Any progress?

Re: VW Transporter -85 EV conversion
I have been thinking about this as well for my T3 but in the end concluded that it is not worth it. On my poptop i can put a nice big 445Wp panel of 2.1*1 meter. But still this will give me 350wh of charge in perfect conditions. Which with a T3 campervan equals 1 kilometer of range. (70kwh pack is 2...

Working myself on a similar project with my T3. According to my measurements the full 75 modules will not fit. Distance between rear crossbeam and front beam with suspension mounts is just mms to small.
But the 55 modules look great. I didnt consider these until now.
Good luck with your project

Re: VW T3 EV Conversion Kit
Great idea. Some comments from my side, since I own a T3 and am converting it to an EV. I like the starting points and requirements but I think they do not match with the price of 13K. The T3 is a brick on wheels with 0 aerodynamic properties. Achieving a 200KM range is difficult with limited batter...

Thx! I know my way around the RDW testtrack, but that is more then 9 years ago. I’m planning to contact RDW and probably pay a consultancy fee to discuss the project en specific regulations: https://www.rdw.nl/zakelijk/branches/fabrikanten-en-importeurs/english-information-about-typeapprovals/type-a...
