Lexus Starter parts (kit) (NOW SOLD)
Hello all, unfortunately I've not got the time to proceed with my projects. Therefore I'm basically putting a Lexus GS 450H parts (kit) up for sale. I'd prefer someone takes the entire lot versus parting it out, which I might need to do. Everything works, or did 6 months ago, have not touched it si...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
I’ll not had any issues bench testing when supplying the throttle pedal ground via VCU versus another ground. I’ll assume there is a specific reason for the VCU supplying ground versus it being feed elsewhere

Awe man. That's tidy. What type of ties are you using there for the HV cables under the body? Way-hey better than my 'cable ties a go-go' attempt :? Thanks, I'm extremely jealous of your complete build!! Hilltop cable management, 6mm hole, some sealant and these babies.. https://www.hilltop-product...

Re: EV car conversion hardware
Anyone have any recommendations for water based cabin heaters besides the Nissan Leaf version? I don't want to rip out my dashboard to install a matrix unit if I don't have to. Looking for something already hacked, tested, and possibly on the inexpensive side.

Update: 10/7/2020 Car has returned from fabricators and I'm well impressed. Shout out to Zack @Anarchy_Kustomz for the professional looking work!! The gearbox isn't going anywhere.. Dropping the gearbox easily was one of the main requirement. Zach and I are working on costings if anyone wants a face...

Re: GS450H Discussion
Any ideas on how the centre of this comes out? I recall Damian’s video shows him wielding it to a bit is square tube. It may be too late now. But do you happen to have the part number for that piece? My gearbox didn't come with it. I cut it out of this. 61829558-2377-42F6-8B8B-4A3495546748.png

Re: Electric SLK Anyone?
The gearbox fits like a glove and the car is now with a fabricator to create new mounting points, gearbox face incorporating the spline to lock the two motors, bracing underneath, and interface the prop shaft between the Lexus and Merc differential. I know my limitations... IMG_3687 2.jpg IMG_3688 2...

Electric SLK Anyone?
Welcome to the electrification of a Mercedes Benz SLK. Goal is to convert a pre February 2001 as there are currently massive tax saving implications in London for electrically converted cars up to 28/2/2001; no road tax £285per year, £15 congestion charge per day , £11.50 Ultra Low emissions zone (U...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
This is my version of inverter connector, based on Molex parts. First I tore the original connector apart IMG_2118.JPG Then I soldered the wires to the new connector. After that it was time to try to fit the new connector to the inverter, I used the old connector and cut it flush. IMG_2119.JPG Then...

The thread on the GS450h gearbox connections has all the info you need. Auto-click in the UK has required connectors. You can also buy the other connector from them too. https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=271&start=10 Above you state Auto-click has all the necessary connect...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
It's glued/bonded in - I had to smash mine out. I think I used a screwdriver and then a craft knife to clean up the rest. Be careful not to cut yourself or scratch the aluminium, it's a mating face for my cover! DC bus cover pictured in my last post is done. I just want to add o-ring grooves around...
