Oof, Why So much? The fact that it's converted? Did you have it insured before the conversion?

It's a Shame to hear this. Are you finding any difference since implementing the "creep mode", and do you have any regen functions. I forget, what inverter are you using?

Re: Assistance with Tesla SDU
I think you could get some decent pointers/assistance here if you are able to work safely on the system yourself. But you need to give much more information. As a minimum people will need to know;
1, Did you build it yourself?
2, You are using a Tesla SDU, but how are you controlling it? are you ...

Re: Radiator for battery/invertor cooling
I think it's important to remember that although EV systems (inverter and motor) are more efficient than ICE the operating temp is much lower and therefore the temp delta also. So I would think twice before going too small. Obviously it depends on the power of the system you are running but it's ...

Re: Flexdisk dimensions
Really worth listening to the guys above. Having watched the clips you posted, your problem is not the flex coupler. Fix the Diff mount properly and check the alignment and as tom says the length (it does look like there is too much compression on the coupler already, how was it fitting the ...

Re: Use electric cooking element for higher voltage testing?
Ok, I am also a little confused here too. I thought the idea of the cooker heater was to be in parallel with the breaker, so in the event of an overcurrent (where the breaker trips) the element will limit the current to the inverter whilst remaining in circuit and therefore not frying the inverter ...

Re: Using the Lexus GS450h V6 and EV transmission
That's not quite how it works with electric motors unfortunately. Ofcourse there are efficiency and torque curves but if you need x amount of kw to maintain a set speed up a hill it doesn't really matter if that motor is doing 10k rpm of 5k rpm (within reason) it will still draw x amount of kw ...

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
Dumping too much energy in or out of a cell will cause it to heat up. When you dump more than what they are rated for it can cause them to combust (most likely with NMC chemistry batteries, with LifePo4 they will just die and billow out loads of smoke, and lithium titanate it will just cause a short ...

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
With a 12V battery, the BMS only distributes the current evenly to the individual cells in the mA range. I have not yet seen a limitation of the total charging current. Even with the HV battery, the BMS does not limit itself, but passes the information on to the charger and opens the contactors in ...

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
Depends on a lot of factors really.
What temperatures will you see where you live?
I personally think the best all-round option would be lithium titanate, and would be hesitant to use NMC unless you really design for it, make sure the charge current is right and generous bottom and top end ...

Re: Dodge Releases Charger Daytona Detailed Specs
Ah I don't like that. Paywalling your performance. Unless the upgrade software has had significant engineering effort expended to get more out of the hardware, but I'd bet it's more like a single line of code to increase the current limit. Only other reason I could see to neuter the power in the ...

Re: How to not kill a tesla drive unit
Not sure I get the idea either. If you shut off the 12v supply to the inverter (i.e Oi board or Zombie) then the motor cannot keep running under power so surely it makes more sense for an E-stop to cut the 12v power to the board and keep the contactors on latched?
Or am I missing your point?

Re: How to store Telsa Model S Batteries
For a years storage don't worry too much about the charge level as long as its between around 20-80% SOC, make sure they are kept cool. Below 40deg c but way better would be between 0-20deg.

Re: Mild hybrid bmw m10 turbo + PMSM from Porsche Cayenne. Help)
I don't know what the standalone TCM requires for inputs but I would assume a minimum of wheel speed, engine speed and load I would also assume these would be CAN but this would need research. It also depends on how Sk1d plans on using it, I.e either ICE or electric mode, ICE and electric together ...
