Re: Mitsubishi outlander charger and DC:DC

Planning to use one of these in Touran but got worried reading through the thread that it is not possible to output less than 14.4V from the DC/DC. Is that still the state of science? I also wonder what happens if you feed a little higher voltage to the feedback pin, i.e. real voltage+0.4V. Would t...

Re: Switched ADC BMS

First of all - thanks for adding the pinout for normal 2,54mm connectors to write the firmware so that i dont have to buy the expensive pogo-pins cable. I tried building a whole working image but cant get it to work. I have build the bootloader from https://github.com/jsphuebner/tumanako-inverter-fw...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

Since the JLCPCB has a minimum quantity of five, and the boards are working better than expected, I could provide it if somebody is interested. Could also bundle it with QCA, controller and SPI-FLASH. (I do not plan to create a shop, just offering the few leftover parts.) IMG_20230804_155546.jpg Id...

What Snubber size was used with the IGBT (the one in the first post)? Have you changed the size of the Snubber later when you used the TO247/TO220 IGBT? How have you chosen/calculated the perfect value for the circuit?

Re: Public charger CP control

You can build as a fallback a manual adapter to activate by hand the AC current to a 32A CEE plug. You can get a cheap PCB here if you want it as compact as possible.

Re: Poor mans ChaDeMo charger (1-phase)

I picked it up and now i start fixing and fiddling with it. Because it was not mentioned in the thread: The 2x680µF in series (340µF) caps have been replaced in later pictures by the white motor cap with 40 uF and 550V (moro PMP 55400). I have few parts laying around. I would like to know what would...

Re: 1000W 12V –> 220V Inverter

Good quality used pure sine wave 12V DC -> 230V AC inverters cost today with about 1kW power 100€ in germany. But DIY is always a more freedom respecting solution :) Sadly the example is using some linear regulating crap that kills efficiency. 7805, 7812 and so on should not be used any more anywher...

Re: Alternatives to QCA700x for CCS

Only found the reverse-engineered protocol description for the QCA7000 here [...] but it's not clear whether this will help for the 7005. The QCA7000 and QCA7005 are the same chips. The QCA7005 just have some additional soldering benefits ("wettable flanks" https://www.besi.com/fileadmin/...

uhi22 wrote: Sun Apr 09, 2023 3:51 pm Alpitronics is removing the Chademo from more and more of their hyperchargers here, and replace it by CCS. Maybe they sell the old plugs instead of scrapping them. I wrote them a mail, let's see what they think.
Did you get any answer from them?

I used the Devolo software to reset to factory defaults like recommended here https://www.goingelectric.de/wiki/CCS-Technische-Details/ . The fi...

This forum is about OpenSource solutions. But any DIY-Multimeter wont probably be a recommendation if the idea is to do other things then first build an own Multimeter with all functionality you need. The multimeter that would meet at best all the freedom most people like in this forum and still don...

And how can this AC input current protection be modified to other values? For example how can the protection get configured to be activated at 2A? How can the protection be configured to be activated at 22A?

Outlander Charger - hardware/firmware modification for more then 16A

The charger is made for up to about 16A. Some do not go much higher then 13A. But how much can it handle when the limit is been removed? What does it take to rise the limit of the charger? Is there a hardware based limitation or a software based limitation? What parts could be upgraded to make the c...

To my surprise the bridge rectifier has survived and the logic board seems fine as well. Should I decide to repair this with a new IGBT brick I should be aware that it won't be cooled so well: Some of the heatsink has been turned into plasma Have you fixed yours or build a new one?
