Re: How to decode frame 352 from S/X Plaid battery?

The SOC is wrong too at this pack - i dont know why. i thin the expected and the normal full value is the problem at this condition. i calculate the SOC with this 2 values: soc = round(expected_energy_remaining / nominal_full_pack_energy * 100) But a 0 of the BMS_nominalFullPackEnergy can not be true.

Re: How to decode frame 352 from S/X Plaid battery?

yes - tesla did change anything, i have one tesla model 3 and one plaid battery with other decoding of this adresses - but the rest looks simular. For the refresh X/S you have more modules and you can query this simular like the smaller 3/Y ones. but on this address i think tesla did it completly ot...

How to decode frame 352 from S/X Plaid battery?

Hello,

i have a strange situation, on older 3/Y Batteries the 352 will decoded correct, but on new one and on the S/X Plaid (Refresh) models the frame 352 has only wrong values.

Did anyone know where i can find the correct data or description of the new battery can communication?

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

take the voltmeter and check at precharging phase if the battery voltage will be reached or if this drops down to fast.

Search Vehicle CAN log for new Model S/X (with the new batteries)

Hello,

did anyone have the possibilities to log a new Model S/X on the vehicle CAN for a few minutes? I need a log for analysing the changes to the nodel 3 Battery and if the A20 already do the same.

best regards

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

yes this works if i have the 1000ym capatizitor connected and the inverter is in standby or disconnected. without the capatizitor its does not close, but if you have a Pi with python and can head connected, you can see the states too. normaly in prepairing state or recharging state, the bms load up ...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

i had exacly the same with my newest pack of 3 and i put the inverter infront of contructors. Because the contractros does not close anymore. But this battery has from beginning issues like that, close the contractors and open it after a few minutes of charging. Than had a error and after you discon...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

If you have used the original cables, that should be fine. Because the connectors on the cable are about this.

Did you have connected a model3 muc+display to the battery?

It will be cool to have a can log from the health test button and the results.

Still I can´t get the contactor close by sending 2 message 0x221 and 0x21D. I have SR battery and connect to the rear engine 2021 version. I´ve been trying to send these 2 message in different cycle time 5ms, 10ms, 20ms, 30ms. I keep the battery firmware updated latest 2022.44.30. Will that be any ...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

How about on the model 3 2021 system. Does the HVIL pins on both HV motor connectors and aux HV connector need a resistor or just a link on the connectors? and for the penthouse i can't see that there is any switches on the screws for the HVIL, but i suppose there must be one some.? Its only a link...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

I have seen Vehicle CAN data logs from ModelY cars which give 16 different versions of 0x221 when in Drive. These 16 messages are repeatedly sent continuously. I have also seen logs which do not do this. This was 1 year ago. You seem to have a group of 2 messages which is different. Perhaps Tesla h...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

Yesterday we put the battery direct to the fronius inverter, but the contractor does not close. Not with load, not with Gen24 on the battery terminals conected. We check all the points: 1. Fronius Gen24 10.0 Plus the H.V. pins (of one connector) 2. Resistor on X098 across HVIL pins 3. 12v on 2 pins ...

Re: Model 3 High Voltage Controller

It is to connect in the small parts in the connector, otherwise the bms thinks, that no engine is connected and don’t come up. I hope that’s the correct description. I hope this is correct. I think I have read this anywhere. In my opinion it will be better to have his only on the connector that will...
