Re: Orion 2 BMS with Zombiverter
I've used Orion BMS in a couple conversions with Zombie. What I usually do is to configure Orion to send the BMS messages in the same format as SIMP BMS then just use that as the BMS option.

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
yesterday I loaded the new software V2.15A aiming to also test the awaited regen and gear change for the gs450h, the car moves forward with no issues but I had very little power on reverse and the car would hardly back-up, anyone that has already tested this new release and is willing to share thei...

It's good to know that the ID3 PTC fits into the heater box! Can you share the controls? Haven't gotten as far as controls yet. I am due to take some logs from an ID3 in the next few months though. So that should open up ID3 PTC heaters and AC compressors for everyone once the reverse engineering i...

Wasn't sure which thread this photo belonged too. But I figure it will suit this one as an update. Moved the Defender to a different shed today, as well as a few other things that were in the way. PXL_20240418_150633761.jpg Since the last post I have put all the linkages back on and fixed a few hydr...

Re: [WIP] 1986 Ex-Military Land Rover 110 - GS450H
Waiting on the weather to dry out a bit so I can take the tractor out onto the fields for some testing. So I have a bit of time to work on some small bits for the Defender. Currently stripping down the transfer box to swap ratios up to a 1.41 from the 1.22 is it currently. I'm only really doing this...

Re: [First Drive] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Got the charger working pretty well now. Got around the locking issue by coding out the lock motor. So now the charger will just work when you plug in an EVSE. Hydraulics are now working, so now I can finish putting the linkages back together and then I might try and take it out for some work! There...

Re: [First Drive] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
Done a tiny bit more with the charging interface. I can now stop the charge manually, although it still won't unlock. I think I might try and recode the charger again and see if there is anything I missed regarding the lock mechanism. Took it out for a bit more of a drive on the weekend, getting qui...

Re: 11KW MLBevo charger group hack 5QE915684BJ possible
Ah I just wrote a long post and then tried to add a photo and the post was lost! Anyway in short, I looked at replacing the large HV cable for something cheaper and more commonly available. The small HV connector cannot be removed due to some small wires with no slack and the 60 pin connector is mo...

Re: Zombie and SDO
Got it working today. First I needed to add the SDO id to the canbus filter in stm32_vcu.cpp canInterface[1]->RegisterUserMessage(0x601); //CanSDO canInterface[0]->RegisterUserMessage(0x601); //CanSDO It uses the new format of SDO semantics. Take the parameter id you want to change from param_prj.h...

This is where I am currently with the chill plates. holes for bolting in four modules, plus some extra tabs on the end with a couple tapped holes along the side to aid with securing. Currently with a lid, perhaps it could be secured by a ton of counter sunk screws to the main plate and sealed with s...

Nice, how are you planning on driving the original speedometer? Speedo is cable driven from the transfer box so that will just stay as is. coolplates are defo a unicorn item for diy because of their cost I'll post a screen shot of the design later on, It's a big plate of aluminium with machined out...

[WIP] 1986 Ex-Military Land Rover 110 - GS450H
So this is another thread Im starting well before I make a start on the conversion. Although I have done some stripping down already. Re: [WIP] - 1989 Range Rover Classic + Nissan Leaf
Love the test battery pack! Always a good idea to leave the battery until last, get everything else in and then look for batteries. They are getting cheaper all the time. You can fit half a VW 55kWh pack in the fuel tank area on a RRC, potentially should be enough room in the front for the other hal...

Finally managed to port the teensy script over to Zombie and had my Cayenne charger working in the vehicle yesterday. Still a few basic bugs to iron out but that shouldn't be too hard.

Re: [WIP] Leyland 255 Tractor - Nissan Leaf EM61
One more milestone reached today with a successful attempt of charging. Took me a few weeks to get this sorted but in the end I think the biggest issue was a wiring mix up in charge port lock motor and feedback. Got it running with zombie today, very basic and still lots of bugs iron out to make it ...

First real drive! https://youtu.be/incSAPv-YMA There are three big things left to do before I can try and drive it properly. Mount the 12v battery properly, not perched on top of the HV pack. Get it charging, I'm still working on that but confident it will work. Get some values coming out of the BMS...

Well I would say we have probably gone as far as we can with it at this stage without further information on the firmware or maybe can logs from the specific vehicle. But I think it's a good start. We have established that they still power on and can communicate with ODIS and a Mongoose adaptor. We ...

I also wonder if they might simply work with the right canbus messages. Given it's a much smaller company using them, and the background firmware is a bit sparse, maybe it requires far less information to work than the VAG variants.
I emailed Street Scooter directly tonight, lets see what they say.
