Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
I'm using the zombie and I realised the firmware versions V2.04A and V2.05A are not running /inverter is not communicating with the zombie vcu after I upgrade and power cycle the vcu and retaining similar parameters settings, any other version below this works very well on my car (my car is Mercede...

Re: DC Direct EV charger - DIY Build
Just thinking out loud here, (I could be completely off target) but I'm wondering if you could use a regular 48V nom solar tracking converter thing with its output running into the gs450h or Camry regular battery input (the one that is normally used in the hybrid use) and then utilising its buck boo...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
i wrote my own code based on knowledge gained by looking at other code. I prefer to do that so i fully understand how it works. Mine is very simple based on a custom PCB a friend had made for it. Basically a Teensy 4.0 and can transceiver and some resistor dividers to take the 12v start signal. Hap...

Re: ZEVA has gone "open sorce"
To the best of my knowledge it's due to the components used on the board for the earth leakage detection circuit. But I could be wrong.

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
FWIW I ported the GS450h throttle map code from the GS450h VCU software to the Zombieverter for use in my E46 + GS450h project. Use at your own risk it bypasses most of the current/voltage/etc protection code but drives smoothly and has regen: https://github.com/streber42/Stm32-vcu/tree/gs450h_vcu_...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
I've had my motor running in the car with a gen 2 Prius inverter and an Open Inverter board. It needed more tuning to be drivable at the time and I was too impatient for all that, so I switch to canbus controlled Outlander inverter for control. Would certainly be worth trying again with the work th...

Will you be using the upper dc-dc converter section of the inverter to power anything? If not couldn't you remove the whole upper section and make a new "cooling plate" for the main inverter section below? Just thinking out loud...

Hi Andy, do you know what the maximum output voltage is on this Audi charger?acollins22 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 9:20 am Hi Jacobsmess,
I went with the Audi for a few reasons... Other people are working on talking to it with Zombieverter. Also, the power output is reasonable and so is the cost.
Cheers,
Andy.

Re: Max Rpm Gs450h
What advantages you think you will gain if you drive lets say 120km/h at 14400rpm? Or do you mean at maximum top (road) speed? Constant torque range of these motors will end somewhere around 5000rpm (?), after that there is less torque available. On higher revs maximum power will be constant while ...

With the relationship between mg1 and mg2 (when ice input shaft is locked) and mg1 is being run in reverse in order to provide forward vehicle driving in combination with mg2 being run in normal forward rotation. However as this thread is trying to solve the question of "Maximum RPM of GS450H?&...

Re: Max Rpm Gs450h
The problem as i see it, is there is not likely to be many situations where the car is driving at high speed, and the engine is stationary. Higher road speeds will need a decent chunk of power even for cruise, meaning the engine will need to be running. Thus in the OEM application the MG1 is never ...

Re: Max Rpm Gs450h
Pretty sure its limited by mg1 and mg1 max rpm was 14000rpm. It was in my original code from 2020. (Edited) planetary gear ratio is confusing..... Whilst I don't have any test data to prove one way or the other I can see a couple of circumstances when mg1 would ever need to operate at anything near...

Re: Max Rpm Gs450h
From my research I'm fairly confident that 14,400rpm is Toyota maximum for MG2 (smaller diameter rotor) as this motor runs through the planetary gearbox at rear prior to heading toward the diff it apparently good for "upto" about 100-140 kph in first gear (very dependent on your rear axle ...

Re: Max Rpm Gs450h
We cant easily figure out what the factory limits of MG1 are in the same manner as above, because MG1 speed doesnt directly correlate with road speed in a factory installation. The PSD ratio seems to be suggested at 2.6:1 If thats the case then working from the above example, if the gearbox output ...

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
Regen was removed because the throttle code was rewritten. Since at the time the GS450h testbed of Damien was not ready yet and the time he is able to devote to debugging regen is still limited, it is disabled for the time being. So far nobody stepped forward to write and test an implementation, so...
