Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
Also I haven't seen this info on this forum, so I will share, perhaps it will be useful for someone else modifying Tesla charger Gen3 48A, i.e. containing only 2 ac/dc modules inside: the second channel module mounted in slot #3 is actually a module with CAN id related to module #2 (even if there is...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
Not sure if useful but trying to help: Maybe its an idea to load the 1.06.R back and make a dump of the config. And then load 1.17.R again and make a dump too. And then compare both? with something like winmerge? Thank you for your comments! This problem was caused by 'timedly' set to '-1', and it ...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
Just updated Gen3 STM32 firmware from 1.06.R to 1.17.R After this update the process seems to be stuck at "WaitStart" state, even if "timedly" param is set to -1 If I remember correctly this parameter was not present in the previous version of the firmware, perhaps this is relate...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
No, the 72A is AC current, 24A per module. DC current is ~40A total if I remember correctly. I have not tried to ask for more than 24Aac but maybe others have and could confirm if it can go higher? yes, you are right, I just checked maximum settings in web interface, idclim=45A, iaclim=72A. Thus se...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
Hi, all gen3 charger versions will work with this firmware. However none of the gen3 chargers is 22 kw. The one with 2 modules is ~12 kw, the one with 3 modules is ~17kw. Assuming e.g. 350V-nominal-voltage battery in Tesla X, then charging it at 72A gives 25.2kW, right? Why ever there is a need to ...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
I'm about to buy Tesla Gen 3 charger, interested in 3 phase unit, compatible with this software. Wiki page for Tesla Model S/X GEN3 Charger (https://openinverter.org/wiki/Tesla_Model_S/X_GEN3_Charger) lists just one P/N 103564701C I seem to be able to get P/N 1055139-01-B unit - it's got four orange...

Re: Simp BMS
(Tesla) Shunt requires isolated comms, and people have had it working. However this is not compatible with the SimpBMS. Also be careful the OE Tesla Contactors are none economised thus need a diode and be setup as per SimpBMS usermanual. Hello, thinking on integrating Tesla shunt with simpBMS. Tom,...

Re: Simp BMS
Which version of the SimpBMS firmware should work with the ID.3 modules and the stock slave modules? Mine is version 210614. I see no canbus traffic to either oneway or 4-way slave module. VW firmware, there will be canbus traffic if wired correctly. does it mean all ID.3/ID.4/Skoda Enyaq slave boa...

Thank you Tom for balancing support!
Then I will start my Teensy 4.1 experiments with your ImievBMSV2 code.

Re: Simp BMS
Hi is there any dedicated thread for Teensy 3.6/4.x SimpBMS? Is it possible to buy SimpBMS units based on Teensy 3.6/4.x, i.e. with more than one CAN bus? I have located two open source repos with SimpBMS forks I'm considering to start with: https://github.com/rstevens81/SimpBMS-Spaceballs/tree/main...
