Re: Connection problem between ESP and STM: Zombieverter
I had an ST-Link (believe it was a clone), but was able to reflash the Zombieverter. Took a bit of finagling, but it's all good, connecting and showing the latest 2.30 update.

Re: Connection problem between ESP and STM: Zombieverter
I was able to solve the issue, I found out that I had a connection between TX and RX that some solder flowed on the underside of the pins that caused a short. I cleaned and put in new pins. Everything is good. It was going good. I had a connection and everything, but I made a huge mistake. While I ...

Re: Connection problem between ESP and STM: Zombieverter
I'm still having this issue. Even with new ESP and soldering reflow of the pins.
I have installed a new D1, made sure all the solder was solid on the pads, and still no handshake from the Zombie. I can access the network interface when the ESP is powered by itself, but once on the Zombie, and yet ...

Re: Fiero Leaf
So far it is doing ok. I apologize for the delay, I had some other projects to get done, mainly residential solar projects and etc, and on the Fiero I was spending time rebuilding and refurbishing everything mechanically, from the frame, suspension, braking and etc. That is all complete. I also been ...

Re: Connection problem between ESP and STM: Zombieverter
I'm having this very issue still. ESP will show the network and web interface just fine, when powered alone. But once I plug into the Zombieverter, I get no such connection. I get activity lights and ESP board is powered, but don't know why there isn't a handshake between the Zombie and ESP for me ...

In need of basic instructions to access Zombieverter
I will have to apologize upfront. I've been watching and re-watching Damien's Youtube Zombie videos, along with combing this support site and the wikis, but it doesn't seem to answer a very basic thing that I need help with. That is, how in the hell do I even access the Zombie via the web interface ...

Re: ZombieVerter dynamic pin assignments and more vehicle support
Are you saying that there is a possibility for the ZombieVerter to turn on the heat pump? Like say a Nissan Leaf one on a Nissan Leaf stack?
I know someone on the forum here was working on it. But if that is cracked, that would be awesome.

IVT-S Shut Inquiry
I did a search on this forum, but didn't get a straight answer.
Is it important to have CAN2 for the shunt or is CAN1 just fine?
I ask, because the IVT-S-1K-U3-I-CAN1-12/24 is in stock from a source I can get from, but not the CAN2 model.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
On the new release, at least the notes on 1.06V, I noticed this:
"Regenerative Braking is completely disabled for the time being."
Is the Regen Braking being disabled just for the GS300h/GS450h?
Is the Gen 2 Leaf effected by this?

Tesla N/A charging standard
Looks like that Tesla is releasing their design and specification files to the public to push for a N/A charging standard and to allow other vehicles to use their charging and super charging network.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
I think I have figured out just about everything before I jump into buying the Zom VCU board for the Nissan Leaf Gen 2 stack. Really it was just the ancillaries, like water pump and vacuum pump. I think that is figured out. I know there is probably some work being done for read only display or to ...

Question on the Zombieverter for the Nissan Leaf. Can I use any of the unused pinouts, such as oil pump or the pots and trans outputs to control the water pump and brake vacuum pump?

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
I sort of figured. Back to the drawing board, although I've seen a couple of DNR gear selectors (round selector and push button) on Alibaba that are 12v.
Choosing a gear selector is next on my list to-do.

I have a Prius gear selector that I'm curious could be utilize for gear selection on the ZombieVerter? This is to drive a Nissan Leaf stack.

Giving some updates to the project.
CV axles are now done. I was able to utilize the Fiero CV shafts and had them cut and resplined to fit the Nissan inner CV joints, as to make a hybrid cv axles to mate the Leaf gearbox to the Fiero wheel hubs.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support
Leaf inverter firmware limits the power , 80kw for gen 1 and 2 24&30kwh batery ,for 2018 onwards inverter its 110kw from 40kwh and then 160kw for inverters for a 62kwh e plus or e power model.
Would it be a great challenge to tweak the inverter firmware for gen 1 & 2 to give it, say 100 or more ...
