Thx for the fast response and explanation.
So a async motor we don't use the foc, only for permanent magnet motors?

Rear SDU on foc?
Hi, I'm working om my second conversation, because it's addictive 8-) but anyway this time i want to go a bit faster do a Tesla unit it is. I ordered a board from the shop and put it in the inverter. Everything went well and after some first testing of the basic functions i noticed that there was si...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander Front Inverter running openinverter, overcurrent issues
Thank you very much! It helped a lot. Tell me, what type of temperature sensor did you specify in the OI settings? does he adequately see the temperatures of the inverter and motor? ooh, by the way, I measured the resistance of the motor temperature sensor at different temperatures and an NTC 50k i...

Re: Mitsubishi Outlander Front Inverter running openinverter, overcurrent issues
You're welcome. The inverter and motor temperature sensors are still connected to the original control board so I can read them via the canbus. But the oi has no idea what the temperature is. But I have it on a display in my dash so I keep an eye on it. The inverter never get hot and the motor can g...

Hi, I found somewhere on the forum or on a related GitHub from someone here but I can not find it anymore. But a have marked a copy so in the attachment you find the sheet with all the connector pinouts. But credits to the work are not for me

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking
i'm following this topic for a while now with very high intrest, and now I could buy a m3 unit from a damage car for very low price which I couldn't resist. only 600 euro's. the car entered the workshop under its own power, so the motor is still working. so now i want to play with the inverter to ge...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
In message 0x272 the status of the contactors is easily recognizable. My software automatically does a weld test if the message doesn't say ok Yes that was my idea, but the problem I have with that is at every start the cp_door status is in error. I need to cycle the door to get it to read open or ...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
I have not had this issue but often need to do a weld test when the supply of the voltage sense board was off. If I keep the LIM and the sense board on I don't need to do a weld test. ooh thank you, that is very interesting. my voltage sense board is going off when my car is off. how is your door c...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
I know I promised to share my current sensor design but I'm a bit delayed with the revision. The sensor can be more stable and I've make a new revision but I need to test it first before I want to share it. As soon as in happy with the result I share it for you guys. But in topic, in the meantime I'...

Re: Info on BMW hybrid battery packs?
Hi, has anyone successfully used these with rapid charging of any sort? Especially without any form of cooling? Hi. I have the 24kw pack from the X5 but essentially the same cells but just 2 times as much. Have charged yesterday for half an hour with 60 amps so just under 1c and the cells got at ma...

Re: triumph spitfire with mitsubihi generator as motor
Could be either an increase or decrease, no real way to tell which. Because of the way the parameters are stored (fixed point arithmetic with a 5bit fraction) the smallest possible change is 0.031 so I'd start with that. thx, i'm going to do some testing with that. here a link to the dyno run video...

Re: triumph spitfire with mitsubihi generator as motor
Sounds interesting, do you think I need to increase or decrease the value and how big steps should I take? I'm very happy with the driving! A always take this car now and my normal car is collecting dust. It's no Tesla power but at the traffic lights 99% of the time I'm the quickest and with no effo...

Re: triumph spitfire with mitsubihi generator as motor
so today i went to a tuning shop and asked if i can do a run in there dyno, so here are the results. one run in the second gear and one in the third gear, interesting to so that there are about 22% driveline losses in second gear and 16% in third gear. the run stops at a little over 6000rpm because ...

Re: triumph spitfire with mitsubihi generator as motor
A little update on the spitfire, interieur starts to look nice again. And the main thing is that I've managed to get CCS fast charging working! With the help of this forum of course! Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
Just wanted to share this with you guys, I got ccs working thanks of your help! I installed small relays that switches the big ones and that did the trick. Strange thing is that I use 30 ohm resistors because that was the only thing I had. But the LIM is accepting that it seems. Swapped the current ...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
I haven't had time to test the relay setup but in the meantime I have an other question also regarding the AC and DC charging with the LIM. I use the LIM now also for AC charging so if I plug the cable in the LIM sends the data to to vcu and the vcu commands power and the LIM closes the plug lock an...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
You should hear them click. Are you sure it's carried out? How is the 0x272 message behaving? The message goes to zero, during the test I can see it working in the log and is passed successfully. It was failing first so I swapped the priory on the relays, they have a diode in them. Guess it has som...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
i have made a self build isa shunt based on a ESP32 because i find them to expensive, and on there a also put a DAC for this purpose. i calibrated the values but the adc misses sometimes a reading and that is what you see. it's a external adc wit opto insulation so i guess these is sometimes a timin...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
Some progress, fixt the unstable init port measurement and now I come to stage 6 but fails after that. I have a log but I want to look at this first. But I don't hear the relays closing and they should be at that stage, so I think there is something there. During the weld test I also don't hear them...

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
one more question, in anticipation of the next step, my current sensor reads a positive value when I use current from the battery when driving, and a negative current when I charge. so when i go to charge it will report negative current to the lim, is this correct or not?

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
I think I have already found a hint, when I look in the code of the VCU it is checked in state 4 whether the inlet voltage is < 20 volts of the charger. when I then look at the log the value I get back appears to be very unstable, so I have to make that stable first before continuing to the next ste...
