Re: is300h inverter with gs450h gearbox (running)
I'm using a is300h inverter with a gs450h gearbox. I've driven about 120km so it works. But I'm having some issues. (This is my 1st conversion so likely wiring issues :) ) I can only get 125 amps from MG2. 320V I can't go faster than 85km/h (4000rpm) then it's like a rev limiter kicks in. I'll star...

Re: is300h inverter with gs450h gearbox (running)
What is your differential ratio, And wheel diameter please Also the comment 2. driveshaft is locked .....I take it this refers to the input spline , where the clutch like damper attached to the original ICE. My differential ratio is 2.93. Sorry yes. Input spline where ICE used to be is locked. Whee...

OEM GS450h battery pack specs: motor 1KM, system voltage 650V, battery NiMH 288V 6.5 Ah via https://toyota-club.net/files/faq/21-12-01_faq_hybrid_tr_en.htm Did the extra voltage solve the motor jitter? The voltage was a misdiagnosis. The jitter didn't change. I tried a 300h inverter which did the s...

Re: 2012 Camry Inverter AVV50R
I also get the odd -27.71degC temp reading. Did you get to the bottom of this? To be honest I can't recall if it started working. I switched to a 300h inverter because I couldn't get the jerking to stop. But I believe now it wasn't a Camry inverter issue I hope to revisit the Camry in the next few ...

Re: [WIP] BMW Z3
As far as I can tell the bodge in lastest release is only in the prius inverter for some reason. Having looked at several posts here and on discord it appears that the temperatures are 8 bit signed value ( maybe it was just assumed to be 16 bit ) . The MTH value when read gets placed into an array ...

Re: is300h inverter with gs450h gearbox (running)
I replaced the shielded resolver cables and moved them away from HV cables. This didn't have much of an effect Resolver cables.jpeg I did some more digging in the Camry logs from @johnspark and found code to unlocking power. Code change.png This changed the current draw on MG2 from around 125Amps to...

Re: is300h inverter with gs450h gearbox (running)
Hi Zechy, did you have a change to test it? I'm gonna use a gs450h and not sure if I could use other inverters, from Toyota, apart of the list: - G9200-30040 - G9200-30061 - G9200-30051 - G9200-30040 - G9200-30030 - G9200-30180 - G9200-30170 Seems the ones for Ls300h or Toyota Prius/Yaris/Auris are...

Re: is300h inverter with gs450h gearbox (running)
an extra couple of thoughts have come to me... 1. Which inverter have you selected in the zombie gs450h/300h? as the code that is sent to the inverter is different. 2. Is your driveshaft locked yet? 3. there is a difference between the 300/450h transmissions in of the mg1:mg2 ratios i'm wondering i...

Re: is300h transmission
I'm using the is300h inverter with a GS450h transmission and a Zombieverter. I've driven it about 120km. But I am having issues. It feels like a rev limiter. It stutters like the power is cut to zero and then comes back again. When using MG1 and MG2 it won't go faster than about 65km/h - around 3000...

Re: 2012 Camry Inverter AVV50R
I'm running the Camry inverter with the GS450h gearbox quite successfully. My car is not on the road yet so just short test. I get about 185amps from the inverter on full throttle. One design mistake is that I only have 214V nominal and the motors don't like it. They start jittering when the battery...

Re: E39 OBDI Cluster
Well done Zechy! Is yours OBD1 like mine? If it is, you can get the speedometer to work like that too. Copy mine. That's a black / white wire. The economy meter is dependant upon TI, TD (RPM) and the speedometer pulse width values received. 'TI signal R2.xlsx' has all three, -I find it a bit hard t...

Re: E39 OBDI Cluster
Woohoo! Managed to get the rpm to move using the pwm signal generators from ebay.
Not all e39s have CAN bus to the instrument cluster. Mine is a 1998. The "Vehicle CAN" setting won't work. Will have to come up with another plan

Awesome work Zechy :):):), I will use your Camry version for my inverter in my E39 :). Also many thanks for going over this data. Makes me think it was a worthwhile endeavor. Well this is what I get with my MTH data so far. Have looked at it a fair bit, and looked at Damien's software and remembered about temp_inv_water=mth_data[20] from Zechy (thank you). I have almost as many questions as what I managed to work out (which was'nt much). Looking forward to any comments,...
