I think that is going to happen.

Re: [WIP] Mercedes 310E (310D campervan) - GS450H/GS300H
The blue one is the LEM HTFS, 5V supply, output centered at 2.5V. The other ones I don't know. You need to figure out which are the supply voltage pins, e.g. with a 50 mA current limited 5V supply. When a third pins spits out around 2.5V you've nailed it. Some are asymmetrical centered at 3V or some...

I will also need a car like this on the motorway and a minimum acceleration from 50 km/h is necessary. Just saw this. Not sure if I get a chance to do that as the car is now far away. Thomas uses it on the motor way every day so and never reported it was too slow on the ramp. It is slow in EV terms...

Re: Linux-Infotag Augsburg 2024
We had a fun weekend at Augsburg. Thanks everyone for coming, thanks Michael of LUGA for the invitation and his team for the speedy video upload! Big thanks to Janosch for his smooth moderation and of course Uwe for his great delivery of a potentially dry topic :) Here comes the talk in German (subt...

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions
The EVSE should shut down CP (or make it 12V) when setting current limits below 6A. Or and least when sending an explicit stop command. In that case you'd omit PP wakeup. CP wakeup is always active. So basically go with the 3rd approach from here https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=69417#...

Also verify that you get equal torque response in forward and reverse. That kind of indicates a correct syncofs

Or cut a deal with Jacob, he's getting some made (if we only knew where he's from - please share your location )
EDIT: but yes if you buy 6 or more from the shop you can get a discount, too since you'd still be the first to buy that quantity

Re: Renault Zoe (Continental) Inverter Reverse Engineering
And we have liftoff :) Applied about 2A excitation current and then did the syncofs calibration. Then used idlespeed to spin at 1000 rpm. Works a treat. Emits some alien sounds, not sure if that is mechanical or electrical. Video coming soon. Remaining question: how do we determine inverter temperat...

Re: Renault Zoe (Continental) Inverter Reverse Engineering
Good testing day today. Got the main inverter and the exciter inverter going. 1713815378169.jpg All runs fine from 3V3 control signals. I haven't found temperature and bus voltage signals so maybe that is on SPI comms again. But I also found that I forgot to break out two pins so will check these ne...

Re: Going from 4WD to 2WD with the touch of a button, what is the correct approach
The 2WD version of the the vehicle is always more efficient than the 4WD. Partly explained by the weight difference but not just that. Also most 4WD vehicles use a PM motor in the rear and async motor in front. It only steps into action on high torque requests. For fine grained control I'd suggest a...

Re: [WIP] BMW Z3
When we want to run it at circa 400v and with a more common ratio of around the 3.6:1 both of those factors have a large effect on the motors top speed. Motor top speed is not limited by voltage. Peak power CAN be limited by voltage given it's not limited by inverter or motor anyway. Field weakenin...
