Re: Unwanted "over current" messages Prius20
I think I will include this in the next release. Had similar issues and created a FW on the fly that ignores the input and just keeps going. Runs fine.

Re: Intermittent CAN connectivity between ESP and STM
Yes there are some known issues which affect reliability on both the ESP and the STM side. But it mostly affects the initial download of the parameter list. So if I understand correctly the parameter list is there and you do get communication just not always? In that case I'd think it's the physical...

Re: ESP32 Based Web Interface & Data Logger
I have fixed another issue that sometimes caused a strange download of the json: https://github.com/jsphuebner/libopeninv/commit/7ceefbe18e20199fb919579456572d533e18e999 It was basically a buffer overflow caused by buffer pointers being not declared volatile and the compiler therefor optimizing out ...

Re: Switched ADC BMS
I wrote that it is probably not difficult to save my Can cards in the new firmware version. This is a useful option for everyone Check it out: https://github.com/jsphuebner/FlyingAdcBms/commit/b5b29ad5f781ebc15b5e3b20690fc1330e883082 There is now separate maps for internal and external use. That way...

Re: Prius Aqua and splitting MG1 and MG2
Renamed it to me more descriptive
Looks like MG1 as bearings either side so you could remove the planet gearing alltogether
No idea what a Prius Aqua is. I found power is down at the low end (up to 1500 rpm) for MG2, about 50 kW

Re: Renault Zoe (Continental) Inverter Reverse Engineering
Spied the "comms" with the DC-DC converter today by sandwiching a breakout board between stock logic board and DC-DC converter. It is mostly static voltages but there is some rather strange comms going on. On one pin the logic board sends an 11.2 MHz clock, on another a 2.8 MHz clock at 1....

Re: Brake servo Vacuum hold time.
On Touran the vacuum is still there the next day and the pump only comes on when touching the pedal.
On Audi the pump comes on every 30s and is now causing issues. Either the motor current draw is increased or the switching FET is overheating

Re: Replacing the VW BMU aka implementing high level BMS functions
variable for battery ah is all that is needed and as we can record ah used (from shunt) this value can be manually updated every few years or so Did a charge from 43 to 82% today or 60 Ah. I've set the capacity to 155 Ah (nameplate is 158) and indeed SoH calculated as 99.3% :) So 155 seems appropri...

Re: Switched ADC BMS
The max voltage per board is about 70V so I don't think that is any constraint. I used some sort of Molex connector. Couldn't really find that at JLC but there should be some sort 0.1 inch available.
I don't recommend wire-to-board because you don't want 17 live wires dangling about when disconnected

I should check my board and find out why it works without the patch. Where on the board is that part of the circuit?

Re: [WIP] Mercedes 310E (310D campervan) - GS450H/GS300H
The blue one is the LEM HTFS, 5V supply, output centered at 2.5V. The other ones I don't know. You need to figure out which are the supply voltage pins, e.g. with a 50 mA current limited 5V supply. When a third pins spits out around 2.5V you've nailed it. Some are asymmetrical centered at 3V or some...

I will also need a car like this on the motorway and a minimum acceleration from 50 km/h is necessary. Just saw this. Not sure if I get a chance to do that as the car is now far away. Thomas uses it on the motor way every day so and never reported it was too slow on the ramp. It is slow in EV terms...

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions
The EVSE should shut down CP (or make it 12V) when setting current limits below 6A. Or and least when sending an explicit stop command. In that case you'd omit PP wakeup. CP wakeup is always active. So basically go with the 3rd approach from here https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=69417#...
