Re: Range extender charge pump
I've started a new project. Basically copied the motor controller project and cleaned out everything that isn't needed for the DC/DC converter.
I will do the current regulation with a PI controller in PWM routine which will result in lower stationary offset.

Re: Peugeot 406 coupe Pinifirina with Leaf motor and Ampera inverter [FINISHED]
Hi Arber, yes commanding 0 torque is a bit of a challenge without current control loop. But I think it can be done. Most important parameters in that respect: boost, fweak and ampmin. The first two have to be setup so that the AC current is constant throughout the none-weakened rev range. Then ampmi...

Re: Unstable rms current reading and a possible fix [SOLVED]
Like you observed CPU load will not change at all since it's all done in hardware. What you're changing is not the sampling rate but the number of clock cycles that the sample&hold capacitor is connected to the input pin. So erm yes actually you are changing the sampling rate but it gets lower. ...

Hey Per,
good to see you here Please post some pictures if you have time.
Did you ever get my email from beginning of March? I'm hardly getting any emails these days and my friend said something is wrong with our mail server.

I'm a bit worried about the connecting 400V 3-phase to an OEM inverter. Ain't they all using 600V parts?

Re: Someone doesnt like us very much
I don't consider this full control of the units, since it's just an ugly replacement that loses all of the efficiency inherit in the system from Tesla's R&D Does it really... Most of the efficiency would be in the hardware design of the motor, which we keep. Some can be gained in the power elec...

Only thing I got done is a wooden mockup of the "face coupler". Bad weather and work on the new BMS has been holding me back but both is coming to an end

Re: Web interface problems V2.1 mainboard
Find the FSBrowser.ino file on my github and upload to esp8266 using the Arduino IDE. Before that you need to add the esp8266 package to Arduino (follow instructions on that page). So usually I set Wifi Access point info (SSID and secret) using the original firmware. Therefor it is not in the code. ...

Re: 4-channel BMS with daisychain bus
Have tested the balancing for a few days now and so far it looks nice. I started out with 70mV between topmost and bottom-most cell now I'm down to 30mV. Next test will of course be whether I have done something useful in evening out the voltages. So will charge to full and see how the pack behaves ...

Well the point of the openinverter project is to replace Teslas logic board. Once that is done, there is no immobilizer.

Re: Range extender charge pump
So as a start I'd suggest you wire up just one half bridge module on, say, PWM1 output. Add the inductor to have boost in one direction (extension to car) and buck in the other (car to extension). Put one current sensor on output, one on input. Use two isolator modules. Most important is voltage on ...

Re: Power part of the inverter on Semikron assemblies
Yes for your project 600V modules are fit. They usually have a slightly smaller voltage drop when on compared to 1200V ones.
Read about charging here: https://openinverter.org/docs/index.htm ... ng,27.html
I use the boost scheme in my daily driver.

Re: Range extender charge pump
1) You mean the charge pump will be 100kg or the extra pack? 2) Indeed, maybe more, see below 3) No. A boost converter (using a half bridge IGBT module) in one direction is a buck converter in the other direction. No added losses here You do have a point with the difference in voltage. 60V to 360V w...

Re: encmode ABZ [SOLVED]
You might want to replace R7 by a bridge. It seems to draw 25mA causing the drop from 5V to 2.1V. The pulse count is quite beyond the design limits but you can adjust this replacing R2 and R5 by 1k. The digital filtering within the processor might still pose a limit but you should be able so spin up...

Re: 4-channel BMS with daisychain bus
Hi Tom, the shunt current is only 20mA so no good for charge end balancing. Or are you planning on running a charge till one hits full and the stop charging balance and then restart charge when cells are under a certain value? Almost. Charge until first cell hits full. Wait (about 1h). Start balanci...

Re: 4-channel BMS with daisychain bus
Finally its starting to come good. I now get almost flawless reception while charging and rather intermittent reception while driving. I added short pulse suppression to the software, if it sees a pulse < 50µs (1/2 of the value for a logic 0) it is just ignored and the counter keeps running till the...
