Re: MG F - Outlander Rear differential with Prius Gen 2 Inverter.
Is the rear inverter from the same vehicle as the motor? Or do you have to match them?

Re: Trusted sellers and feedback
m.art.y: bought 10x Gen 1 Leaf modules excellent comms, he even tested the capacity to match the modules with the same protocol as me we added another order to save shipping for a fellow forum member as my boxes had "capacity" ;) with all the comms the connectors/bus bars got forgotten, so...

Re: Smart Roadster
Thanks for the CAN "blogging" on ABS and ESP there, that's brilliant! Love the round display, maybe I'll put it on the bike to replace the temp gauge... The Chademo option sounds neat, you could 3D print the connector: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:121581. I think Ben Nelson did it for...

Re: Can you use Hall sensors instead of a resolver?
Cheers, I read up on it and Amberwolf's thread looks promising - pairing it with an IMA inverter. I might give the Lebowski another go - blew up DC-DC and subsequently power stage while trying to get more power out of a pair of C80800s :D You wouldn't have a known good SMD board to sell off? As you ...

Re: Can you use Hall sensors instead of a resolver?
There are more options for inverter besides OI. There is Lebowski which runs natural on UVW and there is VESC... But i am sure you could introduce RLS sensor with sin cos functionality. All you need to do is setup a mount for magnet and sensing plate. Arber, forgive my ignorance, but how would you ...

I found another conversion - how's your German?
https://www.goingelectric.de/forum/view ... hp?t=49327
Haven't finished reading it yet, but apparently +50kg is fine with the German Tüv, provided there's a spacer on the springs

Re: Smart Roadster
Lithium 12V battery? Might as well throw the lead out...
Lighter wheels? probably difficult to get, though.
Back to the Outlander drivetrain -gearbox weight +axle fabrication
Best of luck either way!

Re: Outlander VCU - Rear inverter, Charger and BMS
I think the Outlander is just voltage limited because of space - the components are properly rated for 96s according to Arber:

Re: How to charge HV batteries off car?
If you have to buy, I can recommend Meanwell LED power supplies. They come in various voltages and power levels and are current and voltage adjustable. I run a pair of waterproof HLGs to charge my bike overnight without issues (after switching to waterproof...).

[...] I have an update. Whilst trying to work out why I didn't have any output from the zombieverter, I notices these https://thepihut.com/products/can-board-sn65hvd230 This uses the same chip type as the zombieverter and there were five in stock. So, only needing four for the Lexus interface, I bo...

Re: Hall Sensors instead of Resolver/Encoder possible?
Thanks Johannes!
So a hardware mod on top of the SW - that's definitely beyond my skills.
I think it would be easier to put a resolver in the hub motor itself then. I'll park it for now.

Hall Sensors instead of Resolver/Encoder possible?
Hi folks, I'm upping the voltage in my Suzuki in the next few weeks and have contemplated getting started in this "ecosystem" to learn about implementing CAN etc. for an eventual car conversion. So, my stupid question is thus if a Prius Gen 3 V1c board can use standard hub motor Hall senso...

Cool project, I'm following with interest! I was always curious about it as the car was designed to be an EV originally. ...

Imprezzive there's no going back now.
Is it just the angle of the picture or could it be turned "backwards" (Neigung) around say the motor's axle to improve clearance/overall height?
Even it it means additional fabrication on the vertical face of the subframe to take the original mounts?

Lovely project. The 2CV is timeless
Is it just me or is the 2CV transmission tiny compared to the (not so massive) Meiden motor?
I mean it's around 25cm x 35cm, right?

Any partial packs? Would even take degraded gen 1 Leaf modules as I have 12 and lost 2 due to corrosion.
