Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit (LDU) Motor Teardown and maintenance

I found a drawing (yours?): ldu_manifold_cap.jpg Are these the dimensions you used? (you mentioned .005 oversize which would equal 0.127mm so perhaps reduce 55.2 to ~55.1mm) I have a contact that can help me mill and lathe so I will go and try this. Plan to seal the cap with loctite 638 or 648. Are ...

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit (LDU) Motor Teardown and maintenance

Thank you for the fast feedback, much appreciated. :)

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit (LDU) Motor Teardown and maintenance

What do you use for seal material (brownish on the maifold)?
And do you have any drawing or cad file for the plug you like to share?
Or possibly if you can sell a plug? :)

Re: Tesla PCS DC/DC turns off during driving

I noticed (the day before my motor gone dead) that I lost the DC/DC when I ran slowly over a speed bump which made me wonder if maybe something is loose (in the PCS controller or some connector), your findings points in this direction too. :) If I get my motor back in working condition I will look i...

Re: Tesla PCS DC/DC turns off during driving

Thank you very much for your response. At the moment I have bigger problems with the coolant leak issue (car stopped completly) and we are disassembling the motor now. Perhaps I will start a new tread about it, at the moment my energy is a bit low. I'm afraid the stator is ruined (measures below 4.9...

Tesla PCS DC/DC turns off during driving

Hi. I've now experienced this twice in a short time. The DC/DC turns off during driving, resulting in no charging of 12V battery and me loosing steering servo and heating in cabin. Any ideas what can cause this? Unfortunately I don't have any loggs or error messages. The DC/DC output seems to be aro...

Re: Set charge current on Tesla PCS and PCS controller

I played a bit with the settings and found out that changing the IACLIM value resulted in a rather quick response.
So this seems to be the parameter to look at :)

If anyone know status of the FW and version please let me know.
The previous version before "upgrade" reported as 1.16 (?)

Set charge current on Tesla PCS and PCS controller

Hello. I have a PCS controller with the latest fw from github: https://github.com/damienmaguire/Tesla-Model-3-Charger/releases/tag/V1 This reports as version: 1.01R (is this the latest fw available or are there any newer?) The questions: 1. When changing the charge power with the pacspnt parameter, ...
