Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread
All very good questions Matt. Guess what though? I'm not answering them. [...] Someone else can take the time and effort. I don't have much of either left in me. Not sure if you're upset with me, but, we're on the same page. In the past a few people said I should just contact you directly to get an...

Re: Prius Gen 3 Inverter Logic Board Support Thread
Well, I'm kind of stuck on my Gen2 board. I don't know what the problem is and I can't figure out what to do or ask to make it work. Also, it looks like the through-hole/Blue Pill boards on the Gen2 aren't really going to see future development with how cheap the new SMD boards will be (no cheaper t...

Re: Prius Gen3 Inverter Hacking
I have setup a seperate thread for the opensource logic board. Let's keep this focused on hacking the inverters / reverse engineering and figuring out the control signals for the oem board. You've still linked here from your webshop, not to the new thread. https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.p...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing with ST-Link v2
This here analogy is a bit exaggerated. Maybe more like you would replace an engine... :D. I guess. My point was that, for people who'd come across the issue and were hoping to find a solution or to fix that part, that the solution ended up being "It means it's broken. Throw it away and buy a ...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing with ST-Link v2
So, just to summarize the last two pages, Damian.Io's problem was: An error that said: "can't connect to target" in ST-Link software. Which later said: "Can not read memory! Disable Read Out Protection and retry" in ST-Link Software And after being suspicious about the ST-LINK do...

I'll repost my comment from Youtube: "A short little video" ... 18 minutes later :p. Problem is, the people who are too lazy to read through a forum thread and just start pinging every person named Damien that they can find on TikTok hoping to find you... are not going to sit through an in...

Re: Prius Gen3 Inverter Hacking
This is after a month in which he received hundreds of communications from people desperate to buy the new boards (many asking the same question on multiple different platforms in the hope he'd respond). I think generally that's not the people here. At least, they don't act that way here. Probably ...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
I think all Bluepills are not created the same. I'm semi-sure mine aren't corner-cutting crap. I ordered locally-ish, the guy runs a small shop supplying stuff to people in Canada. A business built on reputation and word-of-mouth. I ordered from his Amazon store, but still. Not some Chinese popup c...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
Blue-pill has x3 different TTL UART pins... I believe you need USART#3 USART3 TX PB10 USART3 RX PB11 Yep, that's where Damien put it in the circuit. You can see it on the circuitboard: https://github.com/damienmaguire/Prius-Gen-2-Inverter/blob/master/PriusG2_V1%20-%20PCB.pdf And you can see here th...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
Damien definitely got it working with the Olimex MOD 8266 and his Blue Pill board. He has videos of it in the Prius Gen 2 thread. But I think you said you can't get it working with either the D1 or the Olimex?
I wish I was more help, but, most of this is still greek to me.

Re: Prius Gen3 Inverter Hacking
I was wondering to people think this would be a better thread to document the reverse engineering of the Gen3 Prius / Auris Inverter? We could get a mod to move over the posts from the other thread. Yeah, the "Toyota Useful Bits" thread is more about what to salvage or plan to salvage off...

Re: MB100 1988
Someone has a drawing 🤔 ?? Because I'm lost.... Power is the rate at which you use an amount of Energy. To push a vehicle through air, and to bend the tires a little to make it roll, takes a certain amount of power. The faster you want to go, the more Power you need. The reason that you cannot ride...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
I am having problems connecting to another D1 which i programmed the same as the first one. Dima says they used the D1, page 2 of this this. Very strange, keeps refusing connection from my phone, but it connects to PC fine. Odd, haven't had that issue. One issue I do have with Johu's interface is w...

Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
In my opinion "Blue-Pill" is a bad idea. Mmm.. possibly yes. But, regardless of that, this has worked, and the long-term viability doesn't explain why this isn't working for me. Even if it's a poor choice, I should still be able to make it work. do you really want to put safety and reliab...

So schematic is the same that Damien uses on his github? Because i dont have his board i connected to STM32 pins directly. I've changed nothing in the schematic. Re: HOWTO: Flashing ESP8266
No, i mean that when you set out to program ESP in Arduino you have to set every parameter like in the pic! If you have a memory set differenty or some IP config you may get different results. I think we're saying the same thing. I disconnected the WeMos, changed the settings in the tools menu to m...

Reflashed the Wemos with exactly the same settings. RX to TX and TX to RX. And the other way while I was ruling things out. ... still not loading parameters when I load the webpage. Anything else I'm missing? Is there a missing step like "When you first connect to the Blue Pill, do X"? Any...

Oops. I completely missed these last 3 posts. Was waiting for advice still. ... I desoldered the blue pill with my smt heat gun. Re: 1970 Opel GT - Forklift ACIM - Project Log & Inverter Build
In Wifi interface you can still use command line to calibrate current sensors. I don't have current sensors. I might have an ammeter with a shunt, but, nothing for the inverter. Could I get some from a Prius or are there some inside the Inverter already? Can I skip these? There is a procedure on ho...

Okay, new WeMOS D1 Mini board arrived today. Reflashed it and am ready to go. Not sure I know what to do with it though. Might want to include a link, OpenInverter.org, so people know where to find out more rather than googling his name.
