WTB TESLA LDU Parts OEM control board etc
Hi Everyone, I am in Nanaimo BC. I have a 2014 Rav4 EV I am trying to repair with a Tesla LDU. I had a bad time changing out the one bearing in the gear reduction and messed up the OEM control board. I was told someone here might have their OEM board and or other parts from a conversion. I am also i...

Re: How to not kill a tesla drive unit
Nice to see you here Arlin. I must chime in to agree with your experience. I would even go further than 2us dead time. I use Volt inverter with MBB600 IGBT modules https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9791#p9791 While i could set deadtime for 2.6us according to this calculus here: https:/...

Re: How to not kill a tesla drive unit
Setting it too low means high current flows across the phase legs and potentially destroys it. So I certainly wouldn't advise a lower value. Setting it higher means you loose some output voltage and with it some performance. I always tuned it by diminishing returns with a current limited power supp...

Openinverter Tesla LDU logic board with Rav4 EV
Hi Does anyone know if I can use this in an OEM application like in a 2014 Rav4 EV?
I am looking to replace the OEM logic board as I messed it up fighting with the bearings and I didn't put the inverter cover back on.
Non the less looking for a path forward.
Thanks.

Re: What happens if you spin a leaf engine >20.000 RPM
In the name of the science of all power thirsty poeple i sacrificed my motor. The good news are though that Johannes and me sucessfully found a way to increase the power of the leaf engine significantly. But the first software i tested didn't have the RPM limiter implemented and i thought: "Wh...
