Ahhhhhhh that would make sense. The iwdg reset flag was set as well, but I didn't think anything of it since I hadn't initialized it in the application. Ill try rectifying that later. Thanks
EDIT: kicked the dog a bit. That did the trick! Thanks.

Re: CAN Bootloader
Hi Johannes. I'm working on integrating your can bootloader into my future projects as the one I used previously was a bit of shit show. Functionality of the bootloader itself and the Python script work great. The anomaly I'm running into is that after setting the address offset in my linker, I get ...

OE I3 Inverter connector set
Hey Folks, been a minute since I checked in. Im wondering if anyone that has installed a drop in i3 board, if they might happen to have the board mounted factory connector as well as it's harness side mate. After selling my Telsa powered E30, I've been putting around in an i8 and would like to start ...

Re: i3 controller hacking from diyelectriccar.com
I didnt happen to see it, but on the 40 pin ribbon connector, are the unpopulated pins in the wiki also unpopulated on the OE board, or are they just unknown/unused for the OI purposes?

Try raising fweak to 300 and also increasing boost to 1600. Fweak first, then the boost. Do you have one or two Volt packs? I can’t recall.

Re: Calling all Tesla conversion automation settings
I now do the same idle ajustment over CAN with the pedal position data from the ibooster for whatever thats worth. I believe the idle applicaiton defualts to the throttle ramp value, so that could probably assist in adjsutment there.

Aside from all the things mentioned, I see significantly more voltage sag under power on a cold pack. One of these days Ill put a battery temp limit on throttle.

I’m running CAN on pins 4 and 5 for the ESP32 driving my Bluetooth head unit I built. I’m pretty sure it’s a wroom-32 model.

Neutral would be a better term. No direction selected means no pwm generation. There is no “park” mechanism and the car will be happy to roll away if your hand brake is not up to task.

Gen 1 Volt STM32 HAL based BMS
Uploaded what Ive been running in my car with 2 complete Volt packs for quite some time now. General framework used Toms simpBMS as a rough guideline but ommited generic module handling for specific Volt addressing. No usb or serial console, just outputs some data onto a 500k bus. Ill be adding some ...

Re: Tesla Charger Support Thread
When you say couldn't access CAN, I assume you're referring external connection from the Molex connectors? If so, at least on the board version I have, they are not connected to the external pins by default. I needed to run jumper wires in order have external CAN comms.

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit Support Thread
If all of a sudden something responds, but you did not change the firmware, that would point me toward an intermittent connection somewhere. The wire to board connectors on the logic board can be temperamental to solder well, so it might be worth looking closely there. That’s probably a best case ...

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit Support Thread
The other thing that I’ve seen cause issues is related to idle mode. Try setting idle speed to -100 to disable that as well. If no additional lights come on the gate driver boards during the OC, that’s generally more positive than not that it’s something simple

Re: Tesla Large Drive Unit Support Thread
Thanks!
First thing to try is set udcnom to zero. It’s causing your boost and fweak to change dramatically in the background at only 96v. Good to disable while testing at lower voltage.

Re: BMW LIM based CCS2 Controller
I finally have some HV connectors en route to start in the new contactor box. Hopefully once that’s together I can get back to some progress. The board has been running my Volt BMS slaves for the past couple months without issue so that’s at least a win.
