I finally got arround to making my CCS2 and type 2 work with orion BMS.
I just got one last issue with locking the plug in the socket when charging in AC, it simply doesn't lock at all. for now the BMS sends OBCState to 2 as soon as a plug is plugged.
What am i missing ?

Re: ESP32 Based Web Interface & Data Logger
Just got a new thing while remaking my can man image.png i haven't done the comments to remove the json issue, could this be linked ? Edit : I've commented the lines, reuploaded the code to the ESP the wired way, but still no luck. same behaviour, i can't add can messages to the can map. I'm very lo...

Re: Orion BMS and CCS
Digging up a relatively old thread but, i'm in the same situation. How did you send 0xFF from foccci to your orion bms ? i wasn't able to understand what's the special can sauce that enables the orion bms to not have the cp and pp connected to it. i have a foccci and orion bms 2 wired up and working...

Re: Broken focci board ?
Do you see fly them around? Or any chance to get replacement and solder them? Sadly i don't see them, i openend the box quite a few times. i'll get some replacements on the road asap. Q13 looks like the pad has been completely ripped off. you might need to scrape a bit of the mask off the track and...

Broken focci board ?
I noticed that the wakeup functionality of my 4.5a board doesn't work, it gives 12V but i can't draw the 160mah that my setup uses. I belive that the missing Q13 and Q11 could be the culprits. I wasn't able to find the schematics of V4.5a on the github https://github.com/uhi22/foccci/ Could someone ...

With platormio i did an upload but then i couldn't connect to the wifi anymore. I updated the firmware via the arduino ui, then with platformio i did a uploadfs. here is what i get when i change the node ID or the can speed. image.png with arduino ui (1.8.19) i can't use the esp8266 upload data as i...

Re: ESP32 Based Web Interface & Data Logger
Hello, I just installed the latest version on my esp 32 can lite module so now i have the button to change the CAN speed just under the node ID, amazing. Problem is that it seems to not work, as in the can speed doesn't change when i change it on the button. image.png regardless of the can spee disp...

Re: SDU with OI board Max operating voltage
Hi,
The DC link capacitor is rated at 430V on the SDU i was runing a 102S pack limited to 429V and it blew up.
I also know of a system runing 440V on an SDU without problems, so i guess parameters play a big role.

Re: Tesla SDU repair. Over temp
Yes, they are exactly the same casing, bolt holes and everything. As far as i know the powerstage is the same. Just swap your logicboard and make the busbars.
Yes your link to an FDU is what you would need.

Re: Tesla SDU repair. Over temp
Yes same inverters, the phase wires are about 40mm shorter on the Front drive unit, so you'll need to make some little busbars to be able to connect the phase wire to the motor.

Re: Focci CCS2/OBC/Orion BMS wiring diagram
for the wakeup,
The orion bms expect a 12v when the plug is inserted/ when the bms needs to send the charge commands.
The OBC sends a 12V when the AC is applied.

Re: Tesla SDU repair. Over temp
Hi,
Most likely one on the igbt is dead, that's why the inverter shuts off. The SDU inverter is really hard to repair, and usually it'smore economical to get a front drive unit and take the inverter.

Foccci CCS2/OBC/Orion BMS wiring diagram
Hello, I'm planing the integration of the focci module in one of my conversions. I wasn't able to find a wiring diagram so I made one, if those who have integrated it could correct me if need be, i'll make the updates so it can be usefull for others. Focci board 4.5a as it is what I have. Focci CCS2...

Thank you, i'll give a try with your solution as i'm not super inclined with those STM32's and as a proof of concept / testing setup it should be more than good.

Re: New BMS for bq76PL455A based batteries
Hi all, I've just read through the thread and i have to say i'm impressed ! I have a bunch of mercedes EQC slaves board, advertised as 12s capable with the 76PL455AT-Q1 chip. So if i want to make some boards, and if i understood correctly, I have to add an ethernet transformer on the comms line ? Co...

Re: Leaf Gen 2 inverter/motor as a generator using VCU v1
Update ! I've got good news, i got the damn thing to spin, the fix was to set "FWcurmax" to 0 with the latest firmare version. The calculated ofset worked well enough . My motor is 7c so (0x7C -0x80) x 256 = -1024 so syncofs was set to 64000 and that seems to be close enough. after re coup...

Thanks Pete, I've separated the motor and engine i'm following the same testing procedure as stated previously, the settings you sent me are a little improvement but still not up and running. I can get the PWM noise but motor never spins i have some occasional movements but that's it, even when manu...

Re: Leaf Gen 2 inverter/motor as a generator using VCU v1
Okay, so i've found my old V3 board + leaf adaptor, to put in the inverter and hopefully to have more control over the motor. I have big troubles tuning the damn thing as it is an older board i have to have pinswap to 4 ( swap pwm 1 and 3 i think) i found that from the parameters i used previously. ...

Re: Leaf Gen 2 inverter/motor as a generator using VCU v1
I don't know about this resolver offset effect. Apparently a guy on the internet did it on his porsche 924 or 944 and drove for more than 4000km and if it on the internet it must be true. Well I now have 2 smart engines, I've converted my car 3 years ago and the motor sat in storage at a freind hous...
