Nice project. I'll take a peek for my T4 conversion. ;) I noticed you put the motor in the other way around than it is mounted in a tesla. In this case it will run constantly in backwards mode. Isn't that a problem for the differencial?

The trouble is you would seldom see any where near peak performance - maybe midday in the height of summer using the most optimum tilt angle and azimuth for your latitude - another issue is mounting them to a flat roof you don't get the optimum tilt angle reducing the performance.
