Re: What charging port and harness do you recommend for the Tesla Model S Gen 2 Charger?

Check out Thunderstruck EV's garage sale for a cheap $25 used J1772 inlet with wires. https://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/garage-sale-items-ev/ Remember to ground the charger case. Since US is single phase you parallel the L wire from the J1772 inlet to all the L inputs on the charger. The wires are la...

Can't connect to PCS w/ ST-Link

I can't get my ST Cube programmer to connect to the STM32 on the PCS controller. I keep getting the "Error: No STM32 target found!" popup. I'm using a ST-Link V2 w/ firmware updated through ST Cube programmer so I know my USB to ST-Link connection works. LED on the ST link is solid red. Wi...

Re: Model 3 PCS Controller Support Thread

Can someone please clarify the polarity on the J1772, HVDC and 12V connections on the PCS? I'm using a US Model 3 PCS. In exchange here's the info on the PCS controller connectors and terminals. Connectors already come with seals. Thanks in advance. 12pin connector: Molex 33472-1201 https://www.mous...

Re: CAN Due Upload Issues

I’ve been able to upload fine to my CAN DUE 2 board from evtv through the USB port. Have you tried a different usb cable? I had an issue where one cable from an arduino uno kit that i bought used would not work. A different cable worked fine. Posting my settings in case something stands out to you. ...

Re: 1950 Mercury Lead sled

Absolutely incredible workmanship in every aspect. Wow! Do you mind sharing a bit more details on how you’re controlling the relays with the arduinos? From what i can tell the output current from the board isn’t enough to directly control several larger relays at the same time since each relay requi...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Rear Drive Unit Hacking

I’m definitely in for helping fund this. This motor has so much potential.
What if you offer the controller board for sale now as a pre-buy option to help gather funds for the drive unit purchase?

I don’t have anything technical to add. But I wanted to send you some encouragement because I thing this build is amazing. I really like the focus on aerodynamics and weight to minimize consumption. Keep it up and keep us updated!

Re: Tesla Cobra EV Project Update

Thanks for sharing! Very exciting to see the potential of the Model 3 motor. I’ve been looking for more info on the Ingenext controller and was hoping you could share a bit more info. Are you using it at all for controlling your motor cooling circuit? Their website says 300-400v batteries but I’m ho...
