Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Is there a minimum voltage you would recommend to use in testing? I have access to plenty of 12v batteries I can wire in series, have a circuit breaker I can use also. How would I check the capacitor?
Thank you for your help.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Thanks for the quick reply, but I'm referring to the high voltage connections. I tried 24V from two 12v in series, just trying to get the motors to spin for the first time, the clips tried to weld themselves to the input, so I went down to a small 12v motorcycle battery to see what would happen, and...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Should there be any draw when first hooking up "HV" power to the inverter? It seems to be pulling about 60 amps off a small 12V battery, even after disconnecting the VCU and transmission cables.

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
The pinout is in the post you quoted! Black is PWM in from your controller. Brown is feedback from the oil pump. Do what you want with this or leave it disconnected. The fat blue wire is 12V power. The metal case is the ground. Edit: I updated the wiki to include this. Yes i see the pin numbers, bu...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Sooo, came across this tonight and was ready to throw in the towel. Anyone know the best solution to this. I was going to clean things up and get ready to wire this out and looks like im missing SL2 + , SL1+ and SL1-. I gentle pried the connector up and there is almost zero play to get to the wires...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Please forgive me if these questions have already been answered, or seem to be too dumb to answer. I have looked through the forums, wikis, and videos, maybe missing the answers. I'm just an older hot-rodder, I would appreciate if anyone can steer me in the right direction, if not just answering out...

Re: BMS controller for Tesla, VW, Mitsubishi battery slaves
How many Volt battery modules will this control? I plant on using 2 packs, but may wind up needing 3 for my car. Are you still selling the Volt units yourself?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
I couldn't see a wiki page for this ecu, we must set one up to capture some of this info. Does anyone have the part numbers for the plug/crimps which plug into the ecu handy? I want to get these in to make a harness. If you are referring to Damien's GS450h inverter controller board - here is his re...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Awesome, thank you so much. :D One thing on this diagram to keep in mind is your throttle pedal wiring may be different. I am using an E46 pedal and the common grounds are brown and the common 5V are yellow (opposite of this diagram). I'm using a Miata pedal, but I don't think it will be a problem ...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Perhaps I've overlooked it, but is there a complete wiring diagram from The VCU to the connectors on the different components? I've figured some of it out, but still missing where the trans temp, MG1 and 2 temp, oil pump relay and PWM go. The inverter.png file is not legible on my computer, so I thi...
