Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H
Despite the inverter connector being the same PN, after tearing into the harnesses, it looks like some differences in pinouts: image.png I *think* I can identify most of the pins, at least in their groups for now (resolver vs. sync serial etc). Anyone know where the original pinout diagram for the G...

Re: 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Thinning out the transmission harness: Started with this: 20230128_081032[1].jpg Ended with this. See the resolver cables converge on a common connector, different to GS450H: 20230128_143957[1].jpg The LS600H has this extra connector (top right) that I do not believe is on the GS450H. Not sure what ...

Re: 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
The LS600H - quite a bit longer than the GS450H, but motor sections look identical 20230126_144231[1].jpg Inverter has the same main connector PN as the GS450H inverter. It is a little different on the high voltage side, with a removeable cover plate over the connections vs. the plastic glued on str...

Re: 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Here it is in her initial sorry state:
Now with new floor pans and rocker panel repairs. Half cab is removeable and windshield folds down. Large transmission tunnel with plenty of access from up top.
Cleaned up engine bay:

[WIP] 1964 Scout LS600H conversion
Hi Folks, Embarking on a conversion of a 1964 International Harvester Scout 80. Nice little truck, similar to an early Ford Bronco. What's nice is it's very agricultural, with no bells or whistles whatsoever. I'm down in southern California, so don't need many niceties, this will be a low mileage be...

Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H
Ok, pulled the trigger on an ebay listing for a LS600H transmission with harness, and matching inverter. Zombieverter just arrived and various other parts on their way... Seller was willing to separate engine and sell the transmission with transfer case and oil pump, mount, flywheel/damper, low volt...

Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H
Thanks for that link @nkiernan, confirms #1 option will not work. I also found a couple of pictures on the DOE teardown whitepaper: https://www.osti.gov/biblio/947393 image.png image.png Still wondering about compatibility of the GS450H and LS600H inverters, and sharing of VCU code between them......

LS600H compatibility with GS450H
Folks, I've read through a number of threads related to this and there seems to be conflicting info out there related to the AWD LS600H transmission. Can someone help clarify: 1) Can the transfer case from a LS460/LS600 be bolted on to the GS450H? GS450H transmissions are way more plentiful it seems...

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck [FINISHED]
To test the hypothesis that the master is too small, how about temporarily closing off the line to one of the rear drums as a test? This would halve the fluid displacement to the rear
