Re: 1964 Scout LS600H conversion

Ok really excited to have the transmission now spinning on the bench. Had some challenges getting the shunt to initialize and had wired the throttle pedal incorrectly. It now spins up readily until I hit the max current of my power supply (10A). If I snap the throttle closed I get a spike in voltage...

May I ask what the wiring issues were?
I didn't have the can wires twisted going to the shunt and it wouldn't initialize. I also had the voltage tap on the wrong port of the shunt.

the initalization function on the zombie does the same thing
So technically no need to do anything with an Arduino - connect to Zombie board and configure from there?

Sigdigits,
Great score on that battery pack. Where in SoCal are you? I've seen a stack of those batteries for sale in a L.A. warehouse advertised on ebay, and have been tempted to pick one up.

Re: Initializing a new ISA shunt with ZombieVerter

Ok I spent the weekend playing around with an Arduino UNO w/CAN-BUS shield and separately with a DUE. I'm not a programmer by any means. Was able to verify CAN traffic between my shunt with a load and the UNO, albeit not in the format desired. My question - with the zombieinverter board, what are we...

Initializing a new ISA shunt with ZombieVerter

To setup a new shunt, do you still need to go through the Arduino setup process, or is it possible to set one up directly from the ZombieVerter interface? On the wiki it references this: https://openinverter.org/wiki/ZombieVerter_VCU#Initializing_an_ISA_Shunt Initializing an ISA Shunt Under Comms in...

Re: Inverter polarity help needed [SOLVED]

Thanks to @TheEvilGenius in another thread, I got the answer I needed. The bus bars are accessible from rubber bungs on the opposite side of the inverter to the OEM power connector. It's also shown here in this snip extracted from the DOE whitepaper

Re: IVT-S Shut Inquiry

In my haste, I purchased a CAN1 internally terminated shunt without knowing any better. Using zombieverter and Lexus inverter (LS600H). What kind of issues should I look out for?
Thanks for your help

Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H

The best way to verify the pinout is to check the 40 pin connector. All the colors in the ls600h manual match those that I saw when I made the wire adapter. Attach a photo of the connector with pin numbering. In fact, this is a diagram for the mom connector, just mirrored. Soon I will be able to ch...

Here is a picture of my 40 pin inverter connector ( I have an extra cut-off one that came with my inverter):

Because I have the full harness, I can tell all the colored resolver cables, it's only the sync serial I had to figure out. Top right is Pin 1

Inverter polarity help needed

Is there an easy way to tell the correct high voltage polarity on a Lexus inverter? I noticed that the GS450H is opposite to the GS300H (referencing Damien's videos). Mine is a LS600H inverter (PN G9200-50011). It has the same low voltage connector pinout to the LS300H, and the MG1 and MG2 high volt...

Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H

Ok it seems that the LS60H inverter connector has the exact same pinouts as the GS300H connector below (from wiki):

Key differences are the power and ground pins are swapped top to bottom, and the resolver pins are on the opposite side to the GS450H

Re: LS600H compatibility with GS450H

Despite the inverter connector being the same PN, after tearing into the harnesses, it looks like some differences in pinouts: image.png I *think* I can identify most of the pins, at least in their groups for now (resolver vs. sync serial etc). Anyone know where the original pinout diagram for the G...

What's nice is it's very agricultural, with no bells or whistles whatsoever. I'm down in southern California, so don't need many niceties, this will be a low mileage be...

Ok, pulled the trigger on an ebay listing for a LS600H transmission with harness, and matching inverter. Zombieverter just arrived and various other parts on their way... Seller was willing to separate engine and sell the transmission with transfer case and oil pump, mount, flywheel/damper, low volt...
