Nissan Can translator to analog outputs for old cluster - Is there any?

Battery upgrade same case, new modules

Sometimes we see pictures of upgrades made with Calb/LG 6s modules(standard +-110x151x358mm long): uPKOGjnGSK8C7--veqStW8IbTek-960.jpg 279233111_1073628056613882_3277945900154064486_n.jpg Paweł Drozd.jpg Chan William.jpg 357460171_221814270771347_7694781240834088682_n.jpg I tested my taycan modules ...

Re: Anyone using Porsche Taycan modules on a conversion?

haven't seen any for sale, it's really about availability.
Could have bought a complete peugeot 2008 pack but it would have cost me an extra 1000e.

Re: Anyone using Porsche Taycan modules on a conversion?

soldering is easy, desoldering was not a joke with the small window i almost destroyed the battery because the heat travelled through the aluminium tape that i used to protect the cells. That is why i had to cut the complete side and it was very easy. The board is just a little easyeda pin to pin co...

Re: Anyone using Porsche Taycan modules on a conversion?

Your bms is perfect for most applications but i don't think it's good for my specific case. openinverter will not control the leaf charger. ZombieVerter will work with your bms and leaf charger but no leaf power steering and power brakes. And also i'm in Poortugal we don't really swim in money aroun...

Re: '96 Citroen AX Electrique - Leaf conversion

hello PaulHeystee It's not perfect but it will fit. Cutting the top and replacing it with a flat aluminium sheet, and making a groove to fit the bonnet rib i can go up 3/4cm. The motor will be the lower part of the car but not by much, maybe 1 or 2cm. 20220605_142753.jpg The batteries arrived yester...

Re: Remote IO / Taycan CMU Master for Zombie VCU / SIMP BMS

let's make it a reality :) so we need: -output for 2 contactors, i have to see if the precharge resistor has it's own contactor. -input from the shunt. -12v and can messages come from the plug that connects to the car. also need a device to read the can messages to know what will need to be sent bac...

Re: Remote IO / Taycan CMU Master for Zombie VCU / SIMP BMS

hi so your CMC MC33664 bms could actually act as a nissan leaf bms, controlling contactors and precharge, also send all the right can messages to the vcu right?

Anyone using Porsche Taycan modules on a conversion?

I am thinking of buying some for my car, but because of the bms they need to be cut with a grinder to access the individual cell voltages.

A small window may be a better alternative to cutting the complete side of the module.

What is your experience with these modules?

'96 Citroen AX Electrique - Leaf drivetrain Taycan battery modules

Hi, after converting my peugeot to lithium i found this car that is the one a was looking for all along. This is a original NiCd car 120v 20x6v 100Ah batteries and a DC 27hp motor. 20220531_120658s.jpg Check fitting 20220604_180317.jpg 20220604_183106.jpg 20220604_183113.jpg 20220604_184416.jpg 2022...

Re: diyBMS problem when charging [SOLVED]

I am shortening the cables i rerouted the problematic cable and it helps a lot, grounding will help even more. Still the bms should be able to work with that noise maybe some day it will get another redesign. edit: Grounded all long comunication cables to the RX of the module that recieves the signa...

Now i understand why i can't shield to the car. I still get a wrong voltage reading when charging with long cables even if i lower the noise on the line. i forgot i had a small osciloscope: ALL charging at 20Ah controller directly to rear pack 12s https://community.openenergymonitor.org/uploads/defa...

Re: diyBMS problem when charging [SOLVED]

I pulled wires from the first 3p of the rear pack that fluctuates when charging to get the real voltage reading as you suggested.
