Re: [DRIVING] Project RX8 , Prius gen2, Lexus transaxle to rwd
Long time without updates, changed job and I’m in the process of moving house! I have however managed to build a new display, after killing one of my little nextions I have been driving with just the fuel gauge for a Soc indicator, I like a little more info than that, so after finding a rare rx8 sat...

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
The larger vw Bosch pumps don’t need pwm ( although you can control them with pwm) if pwm pin is left unconnected the pump waits a couple of seconds then fires up at 100%, if the pump is dry and no load detected it will shut off again. I swapped from one of those small vw copies to the larger vw Bos...

Re: Tyres for EVs?
Personally I just choose a tyre with a good fuel economy rating and a good price and then run true pressure higher than standard (this in the method vw use to get the impressive mpg figures on their blue motion range they use tyre pressures around 8 psi higher then the standard base model and then l...

Surely if it was a resolver offset issue you’d be seeing similar results to using an incorrect resolver offset in OI … motor running away with itself not following throttle commands

Nice big roof on the big bus, you could add a couple of full length fold out leaves for solar panels for some solar charging

I have seen adapters like this for people that charge rv’s and scooters at
public evse, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004570389194.html
Not sure how well they work, probably similar to a dumb resistance across the cp and pe pins.

Re: Prius Gen 2 Max rpm/Hz without throttle input [SOLVED]
So by using the input shaft as an output you’ll be spinning the Prius gearbox backwards so the splay lubrication from the diff won’t work and the oil pump will need modifications to swap the inlet and outlet ports, I’ve use an electric pump to pump oil to the top of the case to replace to lost splas...

Tried to update this morning but can’t seem to get the can throttle between my 2 Prius gen2 boards working, one board uses analog throttle then transmits pot and pot2 via canto the second board. Tried Pot Tx 1, 0,16,0 Rx 1, 0,16, 1 Pot2 Tx 1,12,16,0 Rx 1,12,16,1 No joy just cantimeout error Noticed ...

Fairly sure the only requirements are working indicator and high beam tell tales no engine warning light illuminated and if abs and airbags are present these lights must illuminate and then go out.

Glad you’re back on the road, I did a gearbox oil change and sprayed some spray grease at the end on my coupling yesterday which seems to have improved my death rattle! Lol it the daily drive so can’t justify pulling it to pieces until something really breaks!

Re: Wanted Lexus rx400h inverter
I never managed to get my hands on one to find out, from what I can tell though they should be a beefed up Prius gen 2 design, look to have more igbts per inverter that the Prius, I would guess similar to gen3 prius inverter performance but using the same intelligent power module design as the gen2 ...
